We’ve got some ethereal techno coming direct from France to kick-start the week. Purple Records present their debut VA and we have the pleasure of hosting a premiere for Corsen who sprinkles breakbeats across deviating arpeggios and euphoric string sections for a heavenly piece of ecstasy-laced techno.

The debut release from French imprint PURPLE RECORDS lands later this week. The first offering is a VA entitled Auralite 23 and it showcases the label’s vision of portraying positive vibrations in harmony with body and mind through music. The label strives for authenticity and hopes that listeners and contributors will feel that from the moment it’s created to the moment it’s listened to, it becomes that outlet so sought-after by dancers.

Music breaks down boundaries, creates encounters, and amplifies our emotions and thoughts: Auralite 23 is first and foremost a journey that we give ourselves, but that we need to share with others. Communicate, explore, and let yourself go!

We premiere music from Brest-based techno artist and live-act Corsen. The French DJ and producer supplies a slick offering that is oozing in euphoric techno power. Delicate breakbeats play across low-end power, while Corsen drizzles ascending arpeggios across the face of the track. An anathematic string section is the star of the show here, making this an ultimate club weapon for the early hours of the morning. Hands in the air, clutching your friends as smoke scatters across a dingy warehouse club, this is the kind of soul-stirring techno that brings a tear to the eye.

Four Four Premiere: Corsen - Point Nemo [Purple Records]

DJ and Producer, always in the imagination, halfway between
worlds. If its name is esoteric, its expression translates
in machinery.
He made his big leap as a DJ in Shanghai. While skimming the
Chinese coast, from B2B in shopping center basements to
festivals perched in a pagoda, he is a resident of Deep Roll Suzhou
for two years.
Bathing in this underground scene will always feed this spirit
experimental and rebellious.
On his return to France, he brings back in his luggage this energy
to join the Montpellier scene, and becomes a resident
of the Pinata Radio.
Following a first appearance on a VA of Sengiley Records, his
first EP Running Out (Les Disques du Lobby) released in June 2023
is accompanied by a live project. Since then, he roams the places friends of
his overheated deconstructed station wagons, which will guide him, among other things, from
Rinse France to the Macadam of Nantes.
Through its semi-analog cockpit, it explores the energies
syncopations revolving around ghetto tech, acid and
jungle.

Offenbach's own DJ Simlocked brings a lifetime of musical passion to the decks! From rocking out on the guitar as a kid to transitioning to drums, his journey through the music world has been wild. Around the time he was performing with a Skramz band, the rave scene captured his heart at the age of 17, leading him to pick up DJing in 2014.

While stating that her early selections of electronic music might not be particularly flattering today, Simlocked's influences evolved qucikly to include Detroit legends like Juan Atkins, Gerald Donald, Mad Mike, Detroit In Effect, and Octave One. His production journey kicked off in 2017, drawing inspiration from contemporary artists like Stones Taro, Nikki Nair, Chloe Robinson & ADHD, Shcuro, Ben Pest, Viikatory, and CEM3340.

Now a member of the Hamburg-based collective and label Action Replay Codes, DJ Simlocked has graced clubs like PAL, Bürro, Silbergold, and Tanzhaus West in the Frankfurt area. Time flies, we have now reached our 50th podcast. To celebrate this special milestone, mstrancemission from Dortmund  has contributed a hot and ravy mix for us. Raised between Dream Dance, Future and D.Trance compilations, mstrancemission has found her sound in the Hard Dance genre over the last few years. Inspired by the sounds of the 90s, she presents tracks that are often older than she is. Not tied to a specific genre, she especially loves hard house, trance, gabber and early rave. With the motto "long live the underground" she enriches the club scene. As the founder of the UGLY DJ CREW, she strives to strengthen the local club culture by bringing together FLINTA* artists and DJs. "This mix is quite special to me. As I took this opportunity to get out of my comfort zone while creating a mix, I chose to dig into music that had a strong impact on my life. Whether it was when I was daydreaming, going through a tough breakup, lost someone or tried to escape from reality. I picked tracks from all my major sources of inspiration as an artist but also as the queer adult that I became today; all these are discoveries from my teenage years going through young adulthood, they incorporate superstars I never got tired of, movie or video games OSTs. But at some point, they all had the same purpose: they helped my healing. I closed this coming of age story with a composition made purposefully for the show. Thank you."

CABALE (DJ, Producer) is a 90’s kid always in-between worlds, exploring the breakbeat energies around ghetto tech, techno and jungle. He made his debut in Shanghai, where he was a resident DJ for 2 years. From mall basements to pagodas, roaming the underground Chinese coast provided him with enough creativity to blossom in a peculiar way. Back in France, he has joined the Pinata Radio in Montpellier as a resident and published his first EP, Running Out (Les Disques du Lobby, 2023). This was followed by a live debut. Since then, he wanders places eager of his acid infused breaks, from Rinse France to Macadam (Nantes).
