Radio Juicy presents “object, subject”, the new album by ideism. Painting an absolutely breathtaking picture for the album this fresh body of music is like a wonderful trip into the creative mind of the artist. For this project he wanted to work with two main styles, Jazz and electronic beats while finding a middle ground in between the two worlds. Meant to be taken like an “emergence”, crossing from one side to the other, and sort of hanging there in observation. Like coming above the surface of water but without fully emerging. “object, subject” is meant to be interpreted in different ways, intentionally vague, leaving room for personal interpretation. The album is simply incredible and we recommend listening to it in one go, truly immersing yourself into the music.

This interesting outing by an all-star group (guitarist Danny Gatton, altoist Bobby Watson, trumpeter Roy Hargrove, Joshua Redman on tenor, pianist Franck Amsallem, bassist Charles Fambrough and drummer Yuron Israel) is most notable for featuring the brilliant Gatton in a jazz setting. Together the septet, performs nine originals by group members and Gatton and Watson emerge as the main solo stars. Despite its somewhat generic name, this advanced hard bop date is quite memorable.

I'm out of things to talk about so I made this fictionalized account of myself seeing a girl like that and making a song similarly but instead of fawning over her, our fictional butterfly instead sees that there's more to life than the lady that caught his eye.
