We are pleased to share with you the results of the work done within the "SpeakUp" project implemented by IRCA with the support of Thomson Media. This project aims to increase the capacities of young people in digital media. Young people are engaged in the preparation of multimedia products under the mentorship of IRCA. We are very proud to have worked with these young people and to provide the space where they can express themselves!

TechYouth – të rinjtë flasin për teknologjinë (Episodi Nr.1)

“Kanxura” Radio is an online community radio of the Institute of Romani Culture in Albania (IRCA). Kanxura as first name is a Romani word which stands for hedgehog, a very special animal in Romani culture for culinary use and medicinal value. "Capitol" reflects both a Romani cultural heritage and the special relation of Roma people with hedgehogs and their distinctive care for other animals such as horses and bears. Similar to the association of Kangaroos in Australian culture, Kanxura has turned into an important element of Romani culture and image. Naming our online community radio "Capitol" serves as an expression of gratitude from the Roma-Albanian people  to the people of Australia for the support provided by the Australian Embassy in Rome, Italy in establishing our radio.
