Both shows combine traditional musical gems as well as club killers. Lee Trax (also known as Adam Carling) born in France in 1974 has been producing, remixing and DJing for the last 25 years and in 1997 founded the French dance music label BLC Team Records. The label was specifically pushing the Techno sound and in its existence had the pleasure of producing and releasing 3 CDs and also 1 release on vinyl.

Also around 1997 Lee had heavy involvement with a live PA known as (Bass Attack Sound System) this was a Techno act who had the opportunity to perform at many of the raves being held in his region at that time.

As time has progressed over the years Lee has found himself DJing at many clubs & bars across France up to around 2002 when he decided to spend more time on his producing. Lee has since had a revive in his beat mixing ability’s and has released Podcasts and tracks on labels such as BLC Recording (France), Rogue Decibels (South Africa), Jazzy Butterfly (Belgium), Oh So Coy Recordings (South Africa), Repeat Beat (UK), DAST Net Recordings (Germany) and so on...

• 📖 -> He is one of those DJs who combine a multitude of universes, each one more exciting than the next, whose days blend with nights, walking from the podium to the dance floor, alternating flash and strobe. He discovered the “French touch” alongside his brother in the mid-90s going from club to club curious to discover new sounds. Always more sound.

It was the sound of The Respect Party which touched him first with the beats made in New York and Chicago. Then came the Scream Parties, L’Enfer, The Folies and the beats of Detroit. More techno, more hypnotic. After his years of clubbing and photographing the parties of Paris, he started to DJ for private events always mixing his passions for fashion and nightlife.

In 2017 he joined the team of residents at Less Drama More Techno and released some house and deep & techno on Noexist, 200 DB Records, Dacusan, and LDMT Records. You can find him on the turntables across Paris at LDMT Events.

DJ Misty Penguin started life when transwoman Beatrice Wong sneaked inside the DJ booth of local underground mecca Acadana and fondled the decks. Her isolated presence as a trans person allowed her time to geek out on wide ranging genres of music. Apart from catering to the dancefloor, Misty ventured into music production with the soundtrack for her self-directed autobiographical short documentary “Goodbye Mr. B, Hello Miss B!”(2016), which has been screened in cities across the globe, and the music for her photo installation at the WMA Masters Exhibition in 2019. Misty released her debut album via Bandcamp at the start of 2023, a callback to her childhood music memories such as 80s synth pop and 90s dance rock, and will be playing a long ambient set at the 2023 Shi Fu Miz festival with Casey Anderson.

Franck Heinzmann is a passionate musicican who started DJing in 1989. He has been exposed to Jazz, Motown and Price since young and this led him to fall in love with Detroit Techno, Chicago and NYC House immediately once he discovered those music movements. He worked in multiple bars and clubs in South of France and then started to make music in 2000 with his first release signed on the popular FCOM label with a remix of one Laurent Garnier track he prepared for him. 

Soon after, he decided to make music under his alias City 2 City which Franck is still using today. Then, he released 2 maxi for Chez Damier on Balance Chicago followed by multiple other releases on Cinematic (Tevraton label) and COD3QR. 

After years, his passion for Detroit and Chicago scene is still intact with a great interest for artists such as Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Drexciya, Moodymann, Mike Banks, Derrick May, U.R, Goldie, Jeff Mills, Claude Young, Kevin Saunderson, Ron Trent, Chez Damier, Kraftwerk, M.A.W and  Kenny Larkin.

A regular face on Hong Kong’s club circuit, Byrne has thrown parties and held residencies at venues such as Oma, Social Room, Midnight & Co. And Drop over the last decade while also making appearances at festivals the likes of Clockenflap, Sónar, Omni and Quest. 

Byrne currently holds a residency at FM Belowground, with a monthly radio show, Disco for the Damned. The show explores the darker realms of electronic dance music by showcasing guests from around the world playing EBM, Industrial and adjacent musical styles. 

Scheduled to launch in December 2023, Disco for the Damned will release its first album, a compilation, with tracks from established and upcoming producers, most of whom have contributed guest mixes on Disco for the Damned’s monthly radio show.
