Behind The Decks

Mahkina is the alter ego of Mexico producer Alex Aguayo. In this project, he offers a perspective of a mixture between industrial sounds, classic rave drum sequences, and atmospheric trance grooves for clubbing purposes and gives us a look back into the 90s classic old-school vibes. The EP is composed of three original songs by Mahkina and three remixes made by: Imanol, Gala and Manuel Sahagun.

Funky Shirts MZN is a selector, vinyl distributor and co-founder of Funky Shirts Records. He is a vinyl addict in a constant search for banger tunes. His sets focus on House music, but his love for harder beats will be noticed during his performances; jumping across styles and blends in order to create truly unique sessions. Hand in hand with his two funkmates: Sergi Martinez aka Sergi and Damien Monnot aka Keymono, he founded Funky Shirts Records a vinyl-only label based in Barcelona. In addition to the record label, Marc also founded The Vinyl Temple Distribution. A vinyl only distribution which focuses on promoting and helping emerging local and international artists and labels in the vinyl universe.

Passionate about electronic music since 1992, Claude started playing in small public parties between 1994 and 1998. A regular face on Hong Kong’s club circuit, Byrne has thrown parties and held residencies at venues such as Oma, Social Room, Midnight & Co. And Drop over the last decade while also making appearances at festivals the likes of Clockenflap, Sónar, Omni and Quest. 

Byrne currently holds a residency at FM Belowground, with a monthly radio show, Disco for the Damned. The show explores the darker realms of electronic dance music by showcasing guests from around the world playing EBM, Industrial and adjacent musical styles. 

Scheduled to launch in December 2023, Disco for the Damned will release its first album, a compilation, with tracks from established and upcoming producers, most of whom have contributed guest mixes on Disco for the Damned’s monthly radio show.

Pour ce troisième épisode du family approved show, Todd Yeni a reçu le DJ, producteur et selector parisien Aurelian KM3 (la Freak Records / Magic Black / Deephop).
Aurelian KM3 commence le DJ'ing au milieu des années 90. Il produit son premier disque (du hip hop) en 2003 avec les tokyoïtes de Jazzy Sport. S'en suivra plus de 30 sorties comme A/R ou producteur pour des disques entre house / broken beat et hip hop. Son titre Hotel Plaza avec Grems au chant dépassera le million de streams en 2013. La plupart des projets sont également sold out sur son label Magic Black qui compte parmi ses artistes Laroye, Lb aka Labat, Simbad ou Atjazz...
Après des années à mixer et développer sa production "club music", la fièvre covid lui donne l'opportunité de retourner à ses racines, donnant naissance à La Freak Records. Entre afro, disco, jazz, caraïbe, musique latine, ce label se veut un pont entre l'héritage culturel du groove mondial et ses formes électroniques plus modernes. Le dernier disque de Nina Dunn sorti en juin 2023 atteint déjà des records de ventes pour un 45 tours.
