Yiddish Veršes (Yiddish Verses) — гэта музычны праект пра паэзію і памяць у сучасным гучанні.

Ён прапануе новае прачытанне культурнай спадчыны, якая дзесяцігоддзямі заставалася ў ценю — паэзіі на ідышы, створанай яўрэйскімі паэтамі Беларусі.

Праект ініцыяваны Цэнтрам беларуска-яўрэйскай культурнай спадчыны ў партнёрстве з Radio Plato.

У аснове праекта — творчасць аўтараў, якія нарадзіліся ў Беларусі і пісалі на ідышы ў першай палове ХХ стагоддзя: Лейб Найдус, Мойшэ Кульбак, Ізі Харык, Зэлік Аксельрод, Залман Шнэўр, Самуіл Галкін, Абрам Рэйзэн і іншыя. Іх паэзія апынулася на мяжы забыцця: сёння гэтыя імёны амаль невядомыя шырокай публіцы, а мова, на якой яны пісалі, знікла з паўсядзённага ўжытку.

Сем беларускіх музыкаў — Palina, Tok Rukoo, KOOB, WTBSK, Syndrom Samazvanca, Лайтовы і Anastasia Rydlevskaya — стварылі на аснове гэтай паэзіі арыгінальныя песні ў розных жанрах — ад летуценнага дабу і электронікі да арт-рок эксперыментаў і рэпу. 

Yiddish Veršes — гэта не спроба ўзнавіць мінулае, а спосаб уключыць яго ў сучаснасць — праз музыку, вобразы і асабісты водгук. Гэта мастацкі жэст захавання і пераасэнсавання. Праект звяртае ўвагу на частку культуры, якая доўгі час заставалася па-за полем зроку, і надае ёй новае гучанне.

Верш «Культура» ўвайшоў ва урбаністычны цыкл «Пад задымленым небам» яго першага зборніка вершаў, у гэтым цыклі адчуваецца подых літаратурнага авангарду, істотна пашыраюцца тэматычныя і стылістычныя абсягі ідышскай паэзіі. Кульбак стварае візуальныя вобразы, якія арганічна ўпішуцца ў стылістыку выяўленчага мастацтва і дызайну 1920-х гадоў і адгукнуцца сёньня ў рэтраспэкцыях дызэльпанку. Ён захапляецца цудоўным новым сьветам, адчуваючы сябе ягоным усемагутным творчым уладаром — не зважаючы на тое, што ХХ стагодзьдзе ўжо распачало сваю крывавую храналёгію войнаў, тэрору і гвалту. Today we hear straight from the UK - DJ KABIJ. Paul Rimbaud is a London-based DJ who also runs the Distant Worlds @distantworldtransmissions label. Although he is mainly known for his techno, he also does some Elvis impersonation and sometimes works as a life coach. Here he offers a mix inspired by the early UK rave scene, with breakbeat and heavy bass that connects rhythms from the early 90s to the present day.

Episode 70 comes with the third Randoom Kru mixtape, this time from DJ Finds & Outer Space. I’m really happy all the folks joined the series — their sound has always been close to my heart, and it was only a matter of time before their selection hit the show. They delivered: heavy, tasteful, and perfect for fans of broken rhythms and high-pressure grooves.

The mix is made of two separately recorded parts, each packing the best tracks loved by selektaz. Outer Space: lightness turning into full-on pressure. DJ Finds: dark, esoteric, dance-driven jungle — sharp, dissociative, and beautiful in its darkness.
