Taking inspiration from classic garage, rave, and breakbeat anthems of the past, Tāmaki Makaurau artist deepState presents her latest EP via Echo Train Records.

The first track, Butterfly, signals a nod to downtempo stylings of the 1990's before moving into a rave inspired synthesis, paired with some subtly placed keys.

The second track, Starfield, leads in with soothing pads, towards heavy vocal bridges that build the song into a state of euphoric harmony.

Alongside these two tracks, Ōtautahi producer Ultraviolet provides a remix of Starfield, a complimentary high-voltage jungle alternative to the original.

Grid is a young DIY collective pushing experimental (club) music based in Ghent. Propelled by the passion for creating an own unique experience, they have hosted events and concerts combining raw and gritty sounds, visual explorations and art installations. Additionally, they're also runnning a small but energetic record label dubbed "lieftuig".

Title is in the game as a drum and bass DJ since 2007. Starting as Vex he continued to explore different musical styles and genres, and soon felt the need to separate his wild and varied production self from his purely drum and bass persona. That's when nickname “Title” was adopted. 

The mix is dedicated to the five years anniversary of a digital label Pathfinder, established by Title and his production soulmate UNVRS. It includes tracks released on the label, as well as production of the community around it, or tracks that will be part of forthcoming Pathways compilation.

Cyanz on the A side took off just as a Sleng Teng copycat bassline in a 303 clone and got warped into this mental acid sub hovered by a ridiculous drum and sampling exercise. This takes you far beyond 160, layering breaks and stuff bit by bit and switching them 8 bars into Concrete Jungle heaven.
