After starting out behind the decks in 2008 spinning disco and deep house music, he kept venturing through various genres such as dubstep, electro, ghetto house, UK hardcore, hip hop and of course bass music in all its shapes and colours. He (understandably) misses the years between 2010 & 2013 when UK bass and Berlin techno went hand in hand and life was just a little bit better.

Simon says: "Packing a fine blend of Jungle, this mix represents what I'm currently feeling after a far too long covid induced break from music and partying. Dancefloor driven, atmospheric, trying to keep it oldskool yet fresh - that's what I'm all about!"

Naviny Z Fluxu #23 - DJ Desires (Berlin, DE) - Sandbox

Mambo Kahn is a French instrumentalist, producer and DJ based in Hamburg, Germany. From club-oriented bass and hip-hop heaters to more contemplative tunes inspired by electronic music and jazz, his shows offer a blend of genres inviting listeners to discover more.

Co-founder of the SHG rave-organizing crew in Hamburg, he started last year a monthly residency Cross Correlation on Hamburg-based station Hallo:Radio featuring guests from the French and German scenes. He played on various media such as Egregore (FR) or Pollination (UK), and played nights at Mojo Jazz Cafe in Hamburg. His electro-bass heater 'Raskit Boi' was recently featured on Toulouse's ClusterTraxx latest V/A, as a kick-off for more releases to come.

When we started this series, one of the first names that came to our mind was dubstep/jungle artist of the mighty Soul Ex Machina crew - our dear friend @johney

But we had no idea that he would prepare such a special gift for us. Few years back he started working on house and garage tunes under brand new alias.

In his professional life, ODODDNT is an interpreter and translator. Outside of it, he is a dj, radio host, producer and an occasional mc. Garage, grime and dubstep is where he's coming from and he suspects it’s where he's headed, too.
Oh and it’s pronounced oh-dee-oh-dee-dee-en-tee, in case you were wondering.

About the mix: 

"I feel the best in the 130-140 zone and I hope it shows on the recording. The set starts at 140 and gradually climbs down to around 130, which felt rather counterintuitive at first, but gave me the opportunity to start out with some deeper dubstep and move through different flavours of varying intensities all the way until the end. The only way is not up, at least when it comes to sets on the radio))"

Naviny Z Fluxu #32 Dissolved (Prague, CZ)

BLEN is an emerging Ghanaian-American selector based in Prague. While an open-format DJ by heart playing anything out of love for the artform, BLEN’s first proper foray into electronic music started with Fatboy’s Slim’s “Slash Dot Dash” at the age of 9 and since then barrelled them into a life-long love for the genre. Within his sets, fun comes first and he hopes to share that with listeners every single second. BLEN also co-runs a weekly house music party series called Disco House Fever in Prague.

@blenblenblen: "I’ve always loved jungle, breakbeat and hardcore. However, I’ve never really had too many opportunities to indulge in that love for 160 and above. Within this mix I decided to seize that; I’ve mixed a lot of jungle, some juke and footwork here and there, and other interesting sounds from old and new (there’s a bonafide Metalheadz classic in there for those who still have their heart pumping for the sound of the 90s). I always like to say “I like to have fun” so I really hope that attitude shows within this 1 hour mix!"

After his debut album Signals in 2014, UK’s 130-ninja Wen (Owen Darby) has been on our watch list; our anticipation is finally rewarded with the announcement (and the speedy release) of his brand new 6-track EP – Senary Cycles.

Coming out via DJ Parris’ imprint Soundman Chronicles, this is one of the most organic outputs from the young and independent British pirate radio-inspired crew.

Throughout the EP Wen’s signature cavernous space, industrial textures and chopped-up vocal experimentations are binded by the slightly impatient and even rude attitude. It is obvious the producer has gotten even more comfortable in his skin and we’re certainly even more anxious for his future releases.
