ATD At Imabari city Karakohama Beach

Rummaging back through the files, blowing off the dust, and running it back for a new mix of deep bass grooves, funky acid licks and a heavy hit of soul. 

I am feeling to joys and struggles of springtime all at once, rising earlier with the light and watching as spring blooms swell and muster their energy, eventually exploding in brilliant color, feeling the aches and exhaustion from long farm days. This mix is a collection of mostly new records, peppered with some classics, and is a rumination on new experiences amidst familiar cyclical patterns. Each track tethers recent inspiration from the local scene, my own scouring of youtube, soundcloud, tracklists, and from nature. The cycles of seasons' change can be motivation for new growth and new experiences, and yet as another farm season rolls around, I'm greeted by many of the same tasks as last year. Listening back to this mix brings memories and feelings flooding in- new, faint, vivid, sweet, blissful.
