Pigeon Steve is a familiar face amidst the Glasgow underground, as the co founder of the long running Partial parties and as a stellar producer.

He has been involved in the music scene for many years and has developed a keen reputation for his work in the studio which is perhaps best highlighted by his bold decision to present this mix which consists entirely of his own productions. No small feat.

Last year he released his debut EP via Future State but by the sounds of it there’s a whole shedload more to come.

In terms of style, his music sits somewhere between disjointed Dub, Slo-Mo House and Downtempo which makes for a drugged out trippy excursion on the dancefloor. This mix demonstrates a well rounded approach and impressively carves its own niche.

Next up, a special transmission from the inscrutable musical alien RAMZi! Fostering her goal of inter-species harmony with a stopover down under, this is an hour-long recording of her live set from Inner Varnika. Dense and psychedelic, it’s a great example of how she translates the hazy atmospheres, pan-global rhythmic propulsion and alien voices of her solo records into a captivating live performance. It may be hard to recreate the delirious, sweat-dripping somnambulism of IV but her music loses none of its voodoo energy no matter what setting you’re in.
