saschka is a Vienna-based DJ with a passion for sweaty and seductive sounds. His connection to electronic music goes way back to his first rave in his hometown of Stuttgart at age 13. Ever since, he developed a proclivity for electronic music and the power it holds when it comes to creating a sense of community.

Drawing his inspiration from trance and hard house sounds of the 90s and 2000s, mesmerizing acid elements and captivating groovy cuts, saschka creates a sound full of playfulness. With his seductive and driving sets accompanied by hypnotic loops and sultry vocals, he strives for generating a fluid motion that brings people together. As a queer artist in the scene, he uses his sound to foster a more diverse and respectful audience, creating safer spaces along his artistic journey.

saschka is a Vienna based DJ with a passion for sweaty and seductive sounds. while reaching for a broad array of electronic genres from various decades, his sound is best characterized as a blend of groovy, hypnotic techno and energizing acid and trance.

It's no secret anymore that Vienna's musical underground is bursting with talent and skilled artists and that many of the city dance music scene's interesting figures regularly play at Blitz. Katia Curie is one of them. Blitzcast 018 is a great place to start when getting into the Kyiv born selector, who's also one of the driving forces behind Vienna's > Sonic Resistance <. 

What can you expect? Let's hear what Katia has to say...

> When selecting the tracks, it was particularly important to me to get the listener into a certain rhythmic hypnosis that is maintained throughout the mix as it changes from one mood to another. I also wanted to show a different, dynamic, groovy side of my selection, which makes this mix different from my others. It's a vinyl-only mix consisting mainly of progressive house and techno records from the late 90s and early 2000s. At the same time, one of the recorded tracks was recently released on the Kyiv label Tancido, after the full scale war had started. I am totally in love with this one and it has a particularly important aspect for me, considering my Ukrainian origin. <

Next season is starting off with another guest. Schande is a viennese DJ with an obsession for powerful and diverse electronic music. As co-founder of the collective Ärger, she also takes part in organizing parties and raves which are brought into a political context through creating safer spaces.
