She is originally from the Boogie - Down Bronx.Yet, she spent a good portion of her life growing up in the Hudson Valley Region of New York.

As a woman of Puerto Rican : ( Taino ~ Native American, African, Spanish ) & Chinese decent, she holds pride in her heritage.

Growing up Adele faced a great deal of adversity. In her effort to process the challenges, she started writing poetry and found something magical about the power of rhythm and words. Her creative nature and passion for poetry have been one of her driving forces ever since.

She has spoken and performed her work at numerous venues nationally and has been featured at La Mama, Bowery Poetry Club, Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe, Columbia University, Penn State, SUNY Oswego, Downstate Medical University ,The Harvard Club and many more …

She was caller 11 on Detroit's hit radio station WDRQ with legendary disc jockey China Jones. At the station on 8 Mile Road in Detroit, the closet doors opened and her 11 year old arms were loaded up with the entire Beatles discography. Back at home, Mary dropped the needle on side one of Revolver on her blue Panasonic record player and at that the moment she was hooked. Growing up in 70's Detroit and learning from the radio jocks of America's first underground radio stations was all it took for Mary to pick up the guitar and learn her first Beatles, Neil Young, Eagles and Led Zeppelin tunes. Once she started, her appetite for acoustic rock guitar was fueled.
