Jo Johnson has been releasing music and organising events since the early 90s. She is a regular performer at Freerotation festival in the UK, and organises electronic music events with Bleep43 in London. Her debut solo album, Weaving, was released on Further Records in 2014 and has been described as a modern classic.  Her latest solo release, The Wave Ahead, came out earlier this year on Brooklyn-based label, Mysteries of the Deep. Jo also collaborates with pianist and composer, Hilary Robinson, and they have a live album, Session One, on 9128.live (a sub-label of A Strangely Isolated Place).

“It's been a pleasure to spend time listening to someone else’s music rather than my own! I've been writing and playing out much more this year, which has been amazing, but it's not left as much time for listening, so it's been refreshing and inspiring to delve into some of the great music that's been coming out recently. It's been a year since I uploaded my last Safe Radio episode. Damn. That was certainly not my intention. I actually had in mind to do three to four episodes a year, but it only came down to one due to various reasons [read: L I F E!]. It was a long one, though. hehe.

But here we are! FINALLY another episode in the Safe Radio series. I'm very happy and excited about the result, but moreso relieved that I already now have planned out episode two in season seven. It means that I'm on the path of doing four this year. So far at least. Hell yeah! 

This first episode of season seven includes no less than sixty nine tracks ranging from my favorite headphone music over hazy downtempo and japanese dub to no nonsense club trax. Different styles, tempos, old, new, unreleased - u name it. 

If you're still reading this long post I'd like to express my gratitude to all the people [still] supporting and listening to my stuff. It truly means a lot. Especially when I put so much energy and time into what I do. THANK YOU!

MER-A project named in honor of the Mars exploration rover, which left face to face with the sands of the Red Planet after losing contact with him in 2010. This is the debut self-released album of Ukrainian producer Anthony Antsyferov, from the industrial heartland of Donetsk. Eight stories are inspired by NASA's science missions.

Back in July, Denmark's Claus Haxholm aka Assembler  released the album Quantum Paths of Desire, on the Copenhagen-based imprint Infinite Waves.
Haxholm takes his industrial-inspired, techno-oriented loose sound to lighter and brighter places, more clearly evoking house, trance and even new age music. At the same time the album draws on influence from Japanese, Korean and Chinese music as well as Haxholm’s own background in areas such as noise, drone, doom, industrial and more.  On this mix, he incorporates his influences with current favorites to produce something that is quite different from anything we've presented before.  Enjoy.
