It was given to the prince Mutri Tsenpo, the King of Gungthang, and son of King Trisong Detsen, by Padmasambhava as he was leaving for the land of the rakshasa ogres in the southwest.

རྗེ་བྱིན་རླབས་ཀྱི་འབྱུང་གནས་པདྨ་འབྱུང་། །
བུའི་བློ་གཏད་གཅིག་མཆོག་རིན་པོ་ཆེ། །

རང་མོས་གུས་ཀྱི་ལྟེམ་རྐྱང་མ་ཤོར་ན། །
གཏན་བདེ་བའི་ས་ལ་སྐྱེལ་མི་སྐྱེལ། །

ཕ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེས་བསླུ་སྙམ་མེད། །
ཡིད་སྙིང་ནས་གདུང་བས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
བུ་ཕ་དང་མཉམ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

Lord Padmasambhava, the source of blessings,
The jewel on whom this son relies!
So long as I don’t lose my one-pointed devotion
I have no doubt that your compassion, oh Spiritual Father,
Will lead me to the state of bliss without fail.

I pray with intense longing from the depth of my heart
Bless this son to be in the state of sameness as the spiritual father!

In the happy southern land of sandalwood 
In the secret garden of joy of this son
In order to make the connection with all mother sentient beings meaningful

ཆོས་བསྟན་པའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་ཚུགས་པ་རུ། །

གྲོགས་དཔའ་བོ་མཁའ་འགྲོའི་སྡོང་གྲོགས་མཛོད། །
བཀའ་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་སྲུང་མའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་སྒྲུབས། །


To make the accomplishments free of obstacles
And hoist the victory banner of Dharma
I seek your blessings, oh Gracious Saviour!
Dakas and Dakinis bestow your friendly support!
Dharma guardians, carry out your activities!

May the altruistic aspirations of this son be fulfilled!

May the mother sentient beings of the six realms be established in happiness!
