The tune builds around the core Mahāyāna axiom: the effort to enlighten others is the most direct and necessary cause for the realization of one's own Buddhahood. We cannot achieve ultimate happiness while others suffer; the journey outward is the path inward.

I saw the light on Vulture Peak, a long, long time ago.
The Buddha stepped away, but he didn't leave us low.
He left a map, a hard road code, for this world full of pain,
And Universal-Sage came down to stand us in the rain.
He said, "If you want the truth, friend, if you want the Buddha's heart,
You gotta put the Dharma to work, right from the very start."

Oh, these are the Six Seals on the Road, the only way to climb,
Gotta work 'em with your hands, and work 'em with your mind.
It ain't enough to feel it deep, or know the words are true,
The key to my own freedom is the good I gotta do.
Yeah, the key to your own freedom is the good you gotta do.

The first seal is Keep it, let the Sutra be your spine.
Hold that faithful promise, make it your guiding line.
The second seal is Copy, with a hand that shakes but tries,
Every single character opens up the eighty thousand skies.
You're purifying your own weary soul with every pen stroke laid,
Making a shrine of paper, by the promise you have made.

Gotta Read and Recite it, till the words are in your bone.
Gotta Memorize the rhythm, 'cause you can't walk this road alone.
That's when the Sages move, they come to stand right where you stand,
They grant you the Samadhis, hold the wisdom in your hand.
It moves from ink to consciousness, a power understood,
But the journey ain't complete until you turn it toward the good.

« Si simple que c’est difficile à comprendre.

Si proche qu’on ne le voit pas. »

Bien que ce soit le premier pas vers l’éveil, avoir une confiance totale en notre nature de bouddha est un défi. Nous sommes tellement pris dans notre quête de sécurité et de satisfaction dans un monde qui semble objectif que nous ne voyons pas sa nature illusoire.

Kunzig Shamar Rinpoché dit : « Les phénomènes sont la perception confuse d’un esprit perturbé. »

Il est essentiel de reconnaître que le monde que nous percevons est une illusion, créée par un esprit qui projette ses peurs et attentes à travers les sens. Ce n’est qu’en comprenant cela que nous pourrons voir la vérité derrière les illusions auxquelles nous faisons face. La réalité absolue se dévoilera lorsque nous examinerons la nature non née de l’esprit et vivrons son expérience.

Pour cela, nous devons bousculer nos habitudes.

Sommes-nous prêts à faire ce saut dans l’inconnu ?

Confidence

“It’s so simple that it’s hard to comprehend.

Yet, it’s so close that we can’t see it.”

Although it’s the initial step on the path to awakening, cultivating a trusting confidence in our Buddha Nature is challenging.

We’re so engrossed in our attempts to find security and satisfaction in what appears to be an objective world that we fail to recognize the illusory nature of the experience we have.

As Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche aptly puts it:

“phenomena are the confused perception of a deluded mind.”

We must first acknowledge the illusory nature of the world we perceive, which is merely the confused perception of a mind that projects its fear and expectations through the senses into an infinite creation of what appears to be objective reality. Only then can we delve into the truth underlying the fantasies we’re struggling with. The so-called absolute reality will be unveiled as we analyze the unborn nature of mind and abide in its experience.

To achieve this, we must hustle our habitual patterns.

Are we ready for this leap of faith?

The Non-Contempt Blues

"The Non-Contempt Blues" is a grounded acoustic folk and blues spiritual that draws its central narrative from the ancient Buddhist text, the Lotus Sūtra. Set to a slow, fingerpicked rhythm reminiscent of Delta and Piedmont blues, the song explores the esoteric ethical mandate of the "Third Peaceful Practice"—the uncompromising command to eliminate spiritual arrogance and never condemn another individual's potential for enlightenment, even in the chaotic "Latter Day of the Law." The lyrics champion the figure of Bodhisattva Never Disrespectful, who endured physical abuse and scorn for simply bowing and declaring that all beings possess the inherent potential for Buddhahood. It is a meditation on resilience and humility, arguing that maintaining inner peace and respect for others is the only way to successfully propagate truth without disturbance [Query]. The track is raw, contemplative, and ultimately uplifting, demonstrating that true spiritual power lies not in outward display, but in unwavering, non-judgmental reverence for the inherent dignity of all life.

Said the Buddha to Mañjuśrī, son, the road ahead is rough.

If you whisper a mean word, a conflict you invite.
‘Cause every soul’s got that true nature burning bright.

They threw stones at his head, they chased him with a stick.   
He ran down the alley, shouting that truth quick.   
His heart held no resentment, no grudge or angry thought.   
He knew the power of the seed that Bodhisattvas brought.

𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗜 𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗔 𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗚𝗜𝗔 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗭𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗘

A partire dalla lettura di un breve insegnamento del Buddha.

Nella pratica buddhista si parla molto di consapevolezza, ma c'è qualcosa di  profondo da unirle: yoniso manasikāra, la saggia attenzione. Non è solo notare cosa succede, ma capire il perché.

È come la differenza tra avere un navigatore e guardarlo davvero: possiamo conoscere la destinazione e avere tutti gli strumenti, ma se non prestiamo la giusta attenzione, ci perdiamo comunque.

Il Buddha dice che questa qualità ci permette di distinguere cosa è salutare da cosa non lo è, portandoci oltre la superficie delle cose.

🧘 Nella tua pratica oggi, prova a non solo osservare, ma a investigare con gentile curiosità le radici di ciò che sorge.
