Psychedelic Jelly brings us WHIRLIN' MERLIN, a sonic sorcerer and long time student of dub and alchemy which he combines to open portals into otherworldly, and yet strangely familiar realms. Whirlin' Merlin released his debut EP on Psychedelic Jelly, last year, along with a number of original tracks and remixes on compilation albums. He is currently brewing up a fresh batch of bleeps and bloops, expected to crystallise this autumn.

With a background as a jazz drummer in his youth, Simon got sucked into psychedelic electronic music when he was about 17. From then on, he spent his free time tweaking exotic psychedelic downtempo beats with mystical atmospheres and twisted lead sounds. 

Without any certain approach, philosophy or thought, Simon creates his music directly out of his deeper inner essence and tries to express his rising emotions of the moment through the medium of sound. See, hear, feel and understand his music as what it really is: Just an expression of the moment, whose depth can be explored to infinity.

This version has been remastered in 2020 by Ajja.

Behind the face of Akasha lie two individuals, both determined to share their love of deep, psychedelic music with the world. Between them they play bass, saxophone, guitar and flute Since 2010 the pair have been working together in the Southwest, producing music that combines various worldwide influences, with the results culminating in trippy, down-tempo, psychedelic chilled-out dub. To date, Akasha have worked with Mode-one records releasing the VA Compilation ‘Aeriform’ and‘Yead to give’ EP also with Dubmission records contributing to the VA Compilation ‘The next mission: part one’. Akasha have released an EP with Audio Aashram and another EP with Freespirit records, another EP was released in feb 2013 with 'Dubmission' into the web ..
