Akuma no Numa, which means “devil’s swamp” in Japanese, is a DJ trio that consists of Compuma, Dr.Nishimura and Awano. They are not only active individually as DJs, but are renowned record buyers for various stores. They merge their extensive knowledge of electronic music, house music, techno, new age, breakbeats, industrial, acid, electro, disco, and world music using four CDJs, two turntables and a DJ mixer in back-to-back style in a way that is uniquely psychedelic, uncompromisingly left field, and… slow. With all due respect to Tobe Hooper's ‘Eaten Alive’, the trio masterfully creates a sonic swamp to emerge on any given dance floor.
