This episode Sonic Loom features BIOPHOTONS and his "Moral Compass" EP presentation. Biophotons is the solo project of Mike D., coming from Athens, Greece. Mike’s initiation into psychedelic music came in 2007, when he started attending parties and festivals around Europe. His interest grew into a productive engagement with this music, which culminated in the conception of the Biophotons project. Since then Mike has released several tracks in various labels, as well as his first EP: “Going Through the Motions”, on Urban Antidote Records. Meanwhile Mike has performed around the globe, using his experiences in the dancefloor of life as the inspiration for his unique brand of psychedelic soundform. After joining the Sonic Loom family in 2021, Mike develops his ideas into even more adventurous directions. This live set contains the upcoming EP from Biophotons, "Moral Compass". Let this compass guide you through another psychedelic adventure.

This is the recording of my set at Waldfrieden Wonderland 2023. Nearly 3 hours of psychedelic trance music from 152 to 142 bpm. Coming from groovy forest into forest, forestprog and ending at darkprog. A long journey that allowed me to dive deep into most of my main psychedelic styles with a careful selection of some of the latest tracks from Resina and Intermind Records, among other tunes both new and old. Always happy to play an unconventional fast to slow set, this one was delivered at late afternoon.

Kabayun is the project of David Mostoller from the United States. He splits his time between his home in Philadelphia and touring the globe, performing in many European cities, in North, South and Central America, Asia, India and Australia, and at many of the top summer festivals in Europe, including Boom, Ozora, MoDem, Lost Theory, Antaris, Hadra, Sonica, and many more.
Kabayun decided to end his set with a few tracks from his new project with his wife Yasmin called Superluminal, from their EP coming out next month!
