Last weekend I had the honour of playing a set at an event very close to my heart: Unique Tribe. I now present a freshly polished reconstruction of this set for your listening pleasure. 

With this recording I aimed to tighten up the transitions, whilst retaining the raw energy and nature of the original set.

PSYKINETIC is undeniably talented and devoted to his music and started to DJ back in 1988 when raves just started to get established. With over 30 years DJ-ing and involvement in the party scene Neil’s passion and respect for music is clearly reflected and evident through his unique and creative style of mixing and track selection.  

He plays each of his sets straight from the heart with passion, energy, skill and affection that instantly builds an intense and uplifting connection with any crowd. (Ultimately getting them all going nuts!!) Some of his influences include The Prodigy, Moby, Leftfield, Massive Attack, Jean-Michelle-Jare, Raja Ram,  Astrix, 1200 Mics, Krunch, Timelock, Sonic Species, Outsiders, Tristan and Avalon  which are just a few to mention.

Neil’s inspiring journey has resulted in him playing out all styles of electronic music from hard house to break beat but has always had a passion for progressive/ Full-On Psytrance.

In 2000 he became a resident DJ under the umbrella of Antiworld UK/Ibiza, Psy-Gate and Psychedelic Academy and played alongside internationally recognized artists such as, Astrix & Friends, Infecting the UK (Infected Mushroom) Skazi in Concert (Rock & Rave), T.I.P Records Tour at venues such as the 02 arena in front of 1000’s. 

After Antiworld closed its curtains in 2009 he then moved on to be resident for PSYCHOLOGY based in Norwich UK and runs the Psychedelic Stage at SYMMETRY FESTIVAL UK.

Alongside heavy weight festivals such as GLASTONBURY, BOOM TOWN, ILLUMINAUGHTY, DANCE GATHERING UK and UNIVERSO PARELELLO FESTIVAL 14 & 15 in Brazil.

PSYKINETIC regularly guests various different underground parties in the UK such as PSYMERA, COHESION, ILLUSIOM, BOOGIE WOOGIE, ELEXIR OF LIFE, SECRET SOMA and BUTTERFLY EFFECT  to name a few.

M-Theory presents the second EP on his Temple of Repetition series, paying homage this time to contemporary full-on psytrance. Track 1 – ‘What’s this all about?’ – hints at the modern ritual of the rave and was crafted with UK/IT posse, JourneyOM & Nukleall. This gem rolls into the dance-floor like a bullet train, making the walls of the mind come tumbling down into an unstoppable trance of cutting-edge frequencies and powerful rhythms. M-Theory’s deep bass continues to rumble through track 2, accompanied by his warm signature sounds over layers of fresh psychedelia. Brainwaves are changed to induce a state of intense euphoria. The result is ‘Freaking Awesome’.

After 10 years of music production, in 2019, Transpose project was born. Christian Godard aka Narko, a psytrace producer from Montréal, Canada, grew up in the local free party scene. It took no time before he found his path through the psychedelic world. His fundamental goal became creating that genre, everyday. After graduating college studies in sound design in 2011, he knew that he belonged here. Transpose will take you on a true psychedelic adventure, Groovy, story telling with full driving basslines and high defenition ambiances and melodies. Transpose signed with TechSafari Records in early 2020 and has released his first EP called ''Fundamental'' at the same time, with many more to come. Bio: Damian G. Martinez aka "Karmalogic" es un DJ y Productor de Psychedelic Trance de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Inicio sus estudios de produccion musical en el año 2017 y a principios del 2020 lanzo su primer EP "The Labyrinth" por Ovnimoon Records, el mismo cuenta con un estilo mas progressivo que psicodelico. South African based psy-trance DJ & label Manager of Expo Records. Dynamic Range is Known for his articulate mixing and aggressive approach to full power, full on psychedelic trance sets. This reputation has won him sets all over South Africa from Earthdance in Johannesburg to the thriving festival scene in Cape Town- with notable appearances at rezonance 2014/15/16, Alien Safari Sprung, Tribe, bear trap, Organik, Earthdance Cape Town, The Village and more.

Not to be classed by sub genre or set time, Dynamic Range is known for filling any slot on a line up, from the mid day 'rejuvenating' set right through to his transition sets from progressive to fullon or vice versa- "Bridging the Gap" as he so likes to put it.

When asked about his style, Dynamic Range is quick to point out that he plays “Journey” sets. Unplanned, each set is different. You are taken on a journey from slow to fast, darkness into light, aggressive into up right psychedelic funk- It is about creating a connection with the audience and feeding off the crowd- That is how you get the best response.

Dynamic Ranges addiction to psychedelic music lead to the founding of Expo records in 2013. Now in its fourth year of existence, quality has been the one prerequisite with great releases from the likes of Hypnoise, Earthspace, Ilai, Shivatree, Intelligence, Attik, Hypnocoustics, SHX, K.I.M, Cylon, Spectrasonics, Labirinto, Relativ, Imaginarium and more. Dynamic Ranges first VA entitled "Bridging the Gap” received rave reviews around the world and is a true testament to his knack for finding quality psytrance not bound by tempo. January 2017 we will see the release of the much anticipated volume 2, and it promises to include 9 cutting edge tracks for the fans.
