For the first episode of the year, we’re beyond thrilled to welcome a true legend of French goa trance for a one-hour live set : Virtuart !

Particularly active in the 1990s and early 2000s, Olivier Abitbol, aka Virtuart, left his mark on the scene with numerous iconic collaborations that have become essential parts of his musical journey. 

With a typical signature sound blending warm acid lines, pumping kicks and spiralling melodies, his music had a strong influence in shaping the genre as we know it today. Not only by releasing timeless classics on labels like Koyote Records or Intoxygene, but also by bringing a deep psychedelic storytelling approach that appeals to both dancefloor enthusiasts and those seeking a more introspective, meditative experience.

It is a true journey through the roots of goa trance that this pioneer of the movement offers to us today, so get ready for an old school storm of acidic tribal grooves!

This is the first episode of the COMET COLLECTIVE series, featuring ELASTIC's "North" album launch showcase. ELASTIC aka Itay Aluf is a professional music producer from Tel Aviv, Israel.  He started his career in 2013 with the project 'Illusion Tonic,' collaborating with his partner Amit Shomrat. Together, they performed across Israel and internationally, including in Cusco, Peru. In 2020, Itay launched his solo project 'Elastic,' characterized by stretched sounds, fluid vibes, and soaring melodies. Each track tells a story, reflecting his passion for music and unique style. With this fresh approach, Elastic is poised to make a lasting impact in the music scene. In his words: "This set combines my debut album "North" with unreleased tracks, to show and bring my album's atmosphere and the idea behind the album. My album is for remembering my best friend who no longer lives."

JAHRIN takes the spotlight in this Comet Collective episode. Jahrin is the musical project of Yarin Bar, launched in 2018. His fascination with music was sparked at 16 through underground parties, and just a few years later, a life-changing festival in Israel set him firmly on the path of creating transformative, trance-inducing soundscapes. Shaped by private studies with leading Israeli artists, Jahrin draws inspiration from psytrance culture, raves, and nature gatherings, weaving in elements of blues, rock, funk, and ethnic sounds with live instruments like the baglama and guitar. As co-founder of Comet Collective with Itay Aluf (Elastic), he works to support and showcase emerging electronic artists on an international stage.
