Don't miss radiOzora's music editor / resident dj Tsubi's downtempo warm-up set before ambient dub legend OTT @ A38 ship, Budapest on 29th December 2013. 

Music has played an integral part in Tsubi's life ever since his early childhood. While all the other boys were climbing trees or digging up worms in the backyard, Tsubi found himself being drawn to his fathers record player. His father's vinyl collection served as his first musical building blocks, and having introduced himself to some of fundamental artists and genres, he quickly started to form a thirst for more. The passing years saw Tsubi expanding his horizons from simply enjoying all that the colourful musical palette has to offer, to collaborating with others to create ways for others to enjoy it too. He started getting into the electronic music scene in his early school years, and having already accumulated an impressive collection of his own, started organising parties with other like-minded music enthusiasts. By the time he reached his late teens, Tsubi and a fellow dj friend were throwing parties that gathered sizeable crowds of people out for a fresh, underground experience. His constant search for anything new and exciting eventually led him to his first psytrance party in 1999. He got his finger on the Hungarian psytrance pulse after just a year, and quickly became one of the scene's must-haves. In the years to follow, Tsubi was invited to play by pretty much all the underground party organisers in the country, and became a well-known favourite at the best psy events the local scene has to offer. Since joining Bubble's Human Touch booking agency in 2005, Tsubi has shown just how versatile and open he is musically, which has been one of his major success factors. His adaptability to any given event, the line up, and the overall vibe has allowed him to showcase his incredible knowledge of different genres and how to build on, and play with them. Tsubi's evolved taste in sound and many years of mastering the art of mixing took him further around the world to spread the dance grooves. He has since been invited to play at some major events like Boom, Ozora, S.U.N, Glade, Full-Moon, Hill-Top, Bakony and Sziget. With over a decade of experience, fused influences, and unlimited interest in all that is electronic, Tsubi has now taken the next step and started a party series with friends. The fresh collaboration, called Loading Zone, focuses on introducing party goers to artists and sounds that have yet to claim their territory in the Hungarian scene. With a deep understanding of what is needed to keep feet moving, people smiling, and the crowd screaming for more, Tsubi and the Loading Zone team have found a unique way to participate in taking the local music scene forward. Fellow Loading Zone aficionados can always expect something fresh and interesting from Tsubi's sets, ranging from full-psy, psy-prog, techodelic, all the way to downtempo. And at the end of the day when it's time to go out, isn't that what we're all after: something fresh, something new, something with a groove.

For us, after this particularly deadly winter in Brooklyn, Spring couldn’t be more welcome - - - - or more totally chaotic! So we made this set especially to provide a bit of peace amidst all the insane energy out there. Just press play and let the chilling vibes spread through your body, pour into your mind & melt over your heart like a sweet afternoon nap in the springtime breeze.

Peace In Chaos

Hungarian multitalented one-man sound system MODUL a.k.a. MANGO prepared this two-hour-long ascent dub set for his lace up inna Ozorian Chill Out stage this Summer.
Tune in on 28th May 2014 Wednesday 8pm CET on the Chill channel. 

He has been an active electronic musician since 1995. In 1996 was a founder member of the Minimal Headz group at Radio Tilos, where he spinned detroit techno and underground house in his weekly show called Eat da Beat. Later he started his own radio program the Totoya Club, playing downtempo and underground hip hop, and organized the first on air freestyle competitions in Hungary. He had two more own shows at Tilos Radio, the Törzsvendég playing mainly Jazz and a live act show called Városi Kosz. He made a radio program 60 Hz Drum and bass for Est Fm.
Since 1997he's been playing with Jazz (Budbudas, Skeg, Skoda) and worldmusic (Anima Sound System, Behsodrom) bands as turntablist.

He started producing his own tunes in 1998, first for Subscope Records (Protokol Droidz Kru) and for compliations (Budapest 2000, Future sound of budapest Vol 2) In 1998 He started weekly jam sessions with open mic where he met the future members of his band, the GIMMESHOT CREW. For the next ten years this band had a major influence on Hungarian hip-hop & dancehall live movement, combining live acts, turntables, MCs and classic instruments.

In 2003 he released the debut LP of singer of GIMMESHOT (Sena – First One), being the first release of Gimmishot Records, and toured with live band Dzihan & Kamien as turntablist. Also in 2002 He finished third and in the following year second best of the Hungarian DMC championship.

In 2007 he started for the Hungarian MTV the weekly live show SWUNG, and in 2008 he did his own series for them called BE MY DJ, presenting the different styles and technics of electronic music along with the biggest names of Hungarian underground.

Besides all that, he's been playing percussion instruments in the live jazz-lounge group with a pianist and a double bass player. He also beats the drums in a punk band.

SEB AND GOSIA have been collaborating for several years. They have succeeded in creating a collective where He sets the rhythm of electronic music, and She complements it with the ethnic sounds of drums and bongos. They are not afraid to experiment on stage.  Playing with sound and being open to its various forms is what allows them to create arrangements that enable you to experience and feel the music more deeply. Hypnotic sets and rhythmic, oriental sounds define their work. Together, they complement each other perfectly. This hybrid mix was recorded in their home studio.

About this mix, HARMONIUSZ says: "In this set, I combined Traktor with Ableton. For Traktor, I played using four channels with stems, while in Ableton, I used a drum machine and primarily drum samples from the other eight channels. This DJ mix was recorded in my home studio." Harmoniusz is a DJ and bass guitarist who has recently joined the Krakow collective Egodrop. Privately known as Mariusz Gil, he began his musical journey playing bass guitar before developing a passion for DJing.  Since 2011, Harmoniusz has been performing on stage and collaborating with DJs. His meticulous approach to music is evident in his attention to detail and his commitment to crafting intricate nuances. He is known for his precise, mathematical soundscapes, which create a specific and cohesive musical journey.  Primarily focused on chillout music in its lighter variations, Harmoniusz is deeply dedicated to the sound of his mixes. Keeping pace with technological advancements, he incorporates various tools into his sets, including drum machines, keyboards, and sequencers. His mixes often feature jazzy samples and echoes of genres such as trip-hop and downtempo, resulting in a distinctive sound that fosters a relaxing and sometimes profoundly reflective atmosphere.

For Traktor, I played from 4 channels using stems, while in Ableton, I used a drum machine and mainly drum samples across 8 other channels. I was accompanied by the brilliant saxophonist Marcin Kania, a.k.a. Kanibal. It’s a real pleasure to perform with such an outstanding musician." is a DJ and bass guitarist, and a member of the Krakow collective Egodrop. Starting his musical journey as a bassist, he eventually fell in love with DJing and has been performing since 2011.  Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Harmoniusz crafts precise, organized sounds that create a coherent musical journey. Primarily playing chillout in lighter variations, his sets often incorporate jazzy samples and influences from trip-hop and downtempo.  Obsessed with sound quality, he integrates advanced technology into his performances, using multiple tracks along with drum machines, keyboards, and sequencers, resulting in a relaxing yet reflective atmosphere.

Unusual and alternative sounds, experimentation in rhythm and melodic alterations: all of this is The Flying Mars project. Mario Engel, hailing from the green valleys in the middle of the Swiss Alps, was always in contact with different genres and had a good ear for many kinds of music. Now, with his “The Flying Mars” project he wants to channel all of his auditory and composing experiences into a mind-bending mix of creativity, giving his contribution to the already variegated world of electronic music.

The Flying Mars combines Psy-Dub, Ambient, Psy-Chill, as well as Drum & Bass and Psy-Trance, with flowing rhythms and deep bass lines. Through variations, mixing, tests and sonic atom splitting, The Flying Mars’ project strives to simultaneously stimulate mind, body and soul.

This DJ set was presented @ Dragon Dreaming Festival 2018 in Wee Jasper, Australia, NSW. The starting time of the set was at 2.30 am - 4.30 am on the early Monday morning. Play after our dear friend Sumiruna. The night was balmy and the dance floor was in a good spirit to dance all night long and digging the sound that I was playing to them.
 I would like to pay my respects to the Ngunnawal and Wiradjuri people to let us play on their sacred land. 
A big shout out goes to the organizers of Dragon Dreaming Festival for the effort they do every year to create an amazing playground and a high standard festival and the amazing crowd that kept dancing, grooving and cheering throughout the set.
