Sylph is the electronic project of New York native Emily Thaler. Her music spans a myriad of genres, thouh her particular psychedelic and highly linguistic thumbprint is apparent throughout her discography.
Growing up in a musical family, she had an early passion for creating music. Starting out as a pianist and singer-songwriter, she gravitated towards electronic music in her early teenage years, and developed an obsession with production. She went on to study Music Technology at NYU Steinhardt, delving deeper into sound design and music theory, ultimately releasing her debut EP, “Alien Speak”, as her Senior Capstone project in 2018.
Alongside her music production, composition and sound design, Emily is deeply interested in science and philosophy. Her research into quantum physics, cosmology, and psychology particularly inspire her music; she hopes her music can express the excitement she feels about the vastness of our inner and outer universe, and the patterns we encounter throughout.
Fundamentally, Emily believes that music is a language. She seeks to create her own personalized syntax through the organization and design of morphing, alien sounds operating under the belief that when done correctly, sound design and organization can unlock our brain’s primordial predisposition to language, long before we ever learned a specific dialect. She believes that this can be a window into the present moment, like meditation, and remind us of our inherent connection to one another.

I fell in love with music in the early 1980s, listening to the radio and playing the piano at a friend’s house. In the age of 12, my father opened a door to new horizons: Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk, etc. were brought to my attention. These artists thoroughly inspired my creation of music. Soon after, I began to play the drums in several rock bands, discovering the world of music and giving my first concerts, but I knew – or rather: I felt – that this was only the beginning of the journey. In 1996, I discovered the goatrance scene, and I was completely amazed and in awe of the synthetic sounds and unusual melodies used in that music. After enjoying this new scene as a party-goer for 4 years, I bought my first computer and began composing electronic music around the 2000s. Completely in love with the psychill movement, which inspired me enormously, I began to produce music in my style. Discovering new music now and then, this is what also influences the constant evolution of my own sound. After a few releases on various CHILL compilations and after playing on the first few chillout stages at psytrance festivals (both live Act and DJ Set), I finally released my first album in 2012 “Time Equals Eternity”. 2016 the 2nd Album was released on my favorite record label “Hadra Records”. Currently, I’m strongly focusing my energies on a new band project which I initiated in 2015 – together with a groovy guitar player and a violin player with a classical music background I create something you could call psychedelic bluesworldfolkmusic. The band’s name is “Krautcontrol”. But I’m also working on my third psychedelic chillout album which I will release in 2021. And there’s more to come, folks!

Hadra Altervision Records is the new hybrid label of the Hadra association. Founded in 2017, the label aims to promote alternative aesthetics to psytrance music and shines through the diversity of its musical energies: Chill-Out, Downtempo, Ethno-world, Psybass, Psydub, Techno, Dub and Drum’n’Bass.

Behind the face of Akasha lie two individuals, both determined to share their love of deep, psychedelic music with the world. Between them they play bass, saxophone, guitar and flute Since 2010 the pair have been working together in the Southwest, producing music that combines various worldwide influences, with the results culminating in trippy, down-tempo, psychedelic chilled-out dub. To date, Akasha have worked with Mode-one records releasing the VA Compilation ‘Aeriform’ and‘Yead to give’ EP also with Dubmission records contributing to the VA Compilation ‘The next mission: part one’. Akasha have released an EP with Audio Aashram and another EP with Freespirit records, another EP was released in feb 2013 with 'Dubmission' into the web ..

AKASHA EXPERIENCE | Guest mix for Dubmission Records Series #2 | 29/04/2020

Boshke Beats is on, and we’re talking with Arne from the Extrawelt / Midimiliz duo, followed by a set made especially for the occasion.

Living and breathing electronic music for what has now been twenty years, Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have carved out a piece of its history and showed us that in the vast spectrum of dance music, where the normal world ends, Extrawelt begins. Starting out as DJ’s, they found their pathway to production in the studio of fellow Hamburg natives, X-Dream. The inspiration they took away from these initial sessions soon pollinated into projects such as ‘Midimiliz', and ‘Spirallianz’; both of which gained remarkable success in the scene. However, it was in 2005 that they started a new project by the name of Extrawelt — marking a new musical trajectory. The very first production under this new moniker, `Soopertrack´ found itself in the hands of James Holden, who then released it on his revered Border Community label. This breakthrough single would pave the way for an exceptional career that includes a plethora of records, remixes and countless live shows at the most interesting clubs and festivals around the
globe.
With their debut album ’Schöne Neue Extrawelt’ garnering attention on both the dance floor and in the media, it was a telling sign of things to come when voted “Best Album 2008” by Groove Magazine and both “Best Album” and “Best Live Act” for the same year in Raveline. As 2011 rolled around, so too did their second album ‘In Aufruhr’ which was also released on Sven Väth’s label Cocoon Recordings and was as equally acclaimed as the first. Adding to the list of notable publications is Faze Magazine, whose readers’
poll awarded them “Best Live Act in 2014” — not surprising considering their live act has been defining them for over a decade and leaving permanent impressions on audiences everywhere. For the duo, each and every show is a chance to manipulate their sound in a flow of measured spontaneity — all while using gear that most people would keep tucked away in their studio. The result is a live-act focussed on purism and great care in presenting the deepest core of their sound — in essence; exactly what sums up their musical galaxy.
2017 marked a year of renewal in the Extrawelt realm. Besides their new studio and freshly curated live set up, their third album ‘Fear of an Extra Planet’ edged itself into the world and found new space to occupy with its focussed and to-the-point ten track oeuvre. And in late 2018 these studio addicts and sound benders will deliver their fourth album, fittingly titled ‘Unknown’ — a journey which deviates into unfamiliar territory. A
brave electronic composition, it hits a sweet-spot with their very own take on electro, while still dazzling us with depth and unique harmonics we have come to know of the pair. By default, this has summoned the arrival of what the pair enjoys doing most; playing live on tours throughout the world with music which continues to remind people of the purity of techno music’s past while shedding light on the sound of the future.

A Georgian artist Michailo has been interested in DJing since he was 16. He played in Georgian clubs until 2013, when he was arrested for owning MDMA. Be- cause music is one of the mail things in his life, after arrest Michailo was forced to shift his focus to production and music creation in the years following his incarcaration. Michailo made Jail-stu- dio, from where he released 8 albums and made collaborational projects - theater and film music.
At this time Michailo is on house arrest and with special permission he is allawed to perform.

Charlotte Walsh is a legal academic at Leicester Law School, University of Leicester, where she runs a course on Criminology, with a particular focus on drug policy. Her research specialism is on the interface between psychedelics and the law, viewed from a liberal, human rights-based perspective, and she has published widely on this subject – in journals and edited collections – along with being a regular speaker at psychedelic conferences.
She is on the Steering Committee of the Ayahuasca Defense Fund and as such is involved with legal defence work, education and protection, along with advocacy for policy reform.

VLASTUR returns with an exclusive mix, recorded in Goa during lockdown. Expect few new track from him, and older favourites as well.

Vlastur started his journey into music as a Bass player. Back in the mid-80's, he was a founding member of the Cohash Funk, an underground funky Athenian group. In 1998 alongside Frequency Freak, fellow Cohash funk guitarist and Spiris, a dubby drummer, formed "Apeuthias Syndesi" now known as Direct Connection, a dub experimental laboratory. They released "Dub Infection" in 2007. Even though he started as a Bassist in Direct Connection, he was the main FX Sound Engineer of the band.
In the meanwhile, he was also working as a session musician with various artists and bands. In 2004 he teamed up with Palyrria an ethnic-electronica band and in 2005 recorded "Methexy" with them and has played in many of their gigs.
The (InterAxion Dub-2009 Equation recs) project was the first full-length work of Vlastur. Influenced by all his beloved sounds from Dub to Dubstep through Psy, Ambient, Drum n' Bass and Traditional Mediterranean sounds!
In early 2015 Parvati recs released the EP "Parvati In Dub by Vlastur".It's about an RMX project by him in Dub with some of the very well known tunes of Parvati label artists flavoured by Vlastur's sound!!(second part is on the way).
He participated like the bass player in the superband "Novelty Engine" with the artists Ajja, Cedric "Congo" Myton, R.ZEE Jackson, Steve Hillage (System 7), Miquette Giraudy (System 7) , Dick Trevor, Ott and Dymons on August of 2015 and 2016 at the main stage of OZORA Festival in Hungary.
Except for those artists, Vlastur has co-operated with artists such Gaudi, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Irina Mikhailova, Etnica, Tengri, Jef Stott and others.This period he is working on a new live improvisation project called Herbal Orchestra with Merv Pepler (EatStatic), Basil Brooks(Gong,Steve Hillage Band, Zorch )and Gabor (Operenzia)
Vlastur Dub Band is the fully live project for him. The active members right now are: Dark Elf (Synth/Machines) , Adil Smaali on vox and Moroccan instruments, Nikos Korkovilis on drums, Nickolas Yiakoumis on guitars and special guest for our last gigs has been Daniel Symon a.k.a. Dymons on percussions.
On September 2019 he released the EP " Vlastur Dub Band in Trance"(Parvati Recs) which is based on the live performance of the band at Ozora Festival Hungary (main stage) 2018.
He has played live in many countries all over the world by his self or with the band.
Vlastur believes that the sound evolves constantly while the vibe remains the same, from Rock n' Roll to Punk and from Dub to Psy.

Obsessed with vinyl, always digging and searching: a true craftsman behind the decks whose true strongest skill is his ability to go beyond mere genres and trends. No matter where he plays, chemistry is always working.
Released several 12" EPs on labels like Tape Hiss, raum...musik. and All Inn Records.
An acomplished DJ from the age of 18, having won Check Magazine's mixtape contest in 2001 and coming runner up in the Red Bull DJ Academy, Jaffa Surfa has gone on to play all over Europe (Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, UK, Spain, Romania etc.) to share decks with names such as Eddie Richards, Raresh, Sascha Dive, John Dimas, Ion Ludwig, Boo Williams, Robert Dietz, Josh Wink, The Revenge, Jay Tripwire, Steve Lawler, Martin Buttrich or Lee Burridge ...
Resident DJ at Hungary's Roxy Club from 2002 to 2009 and later 'The Debut' events in Budapest, he refined his DJ skills to be one the most influential selectors in the local scene.
His productions are played by Ricardo Villalobos, Radio Slave, Apollonia, Priku, Matthias Tanzmann, Giovanni Verrina, Doc Martin, Josh Wink, Osunlade, D'julz, Cassy and many more.

Spintribe is the collab of two experienced electronic engineers Igor and Andrew. Both of them have many years of experience and work in other musical projects since the early 2000s. Project developers have positioned their creativity as a mixture of progressive house lysergic lounge and permanently engrave the sound, turning hypnotic sound landscapes around the pulsating bass.
When forming the concept of Spintribe, Andrew and Igor are aiming to create music that would be experimental and intuitive at the same time. They have always wanted to bring in their music everything what lacked in dance music abundance in the early 2000s, but then it all disappeared in the race for design and loudness.
Spintribe, according to the creators, is an attempt to fill the musical void. The uniqueness of Spintribe's music lies in its universality, deep content, their own signature sound and its  aesthetics. Spintribe gives the listener the opportunity to choose an emotional reaction from dance inside themselves to desire to reside in this state with someone else.
English labels JOOF and Mistique, being the cradle of underground, for a long time remained faithful to his musical traditions, had their recognizable sound and continued to produce progressive with a certain stylistic nuance. In the process of working on the first release in 2013 year Andrew and Igor had no doubt where to be released. Under the auspices of JOOF and Mistique was released several successful mini albums and remixes that have received public support of such iconic representatives of the electronic scene like Paul Oakenfold, Marcus Shultz, Solarstone, John Fleming, Michael & Levan, Stiven Rivic, Airwave.3/13
By 2016 the music personality came to the fore, the sound of the project became more recognizable, and technical and informative level of tracks rised. Against the background of quality changes in sound, Andrew and Igor begin to cooperate with the Serbian Tesseract studio supported by Nikola Kozic Zyce, mixing the main progressive label’s content with the new works up to 2018.
In the last years Spintribe music has been transformed into the modern progtech style. Currently there are several releases on BASSIC Records and Digital Diamonds.
