Born in Venice in 1985, started his passion for music in the early 90's, listening from the classic rock'n'roll band to the heavy metal, from the grunge till first electronic artist like "prodigy" & "chemical brothers".
After playing with a several hard rock bands, N.e.S. discovered the psychedelic scene in 2006 and in 2007 started his journey in the psy trance music, playing like a DJ ( full-on morning ).
in 2008 after an incredible year of playing he start to produce his own music with the project "take the beat", a mix of full-on and progressive sounds. Later on he started to mix more underground grooves which are influenced by the rising italian underground psychedelic music scene.
After few year of production in 2013 founded the indipendent label Dream Project Records.

Born and raised in Livorno in 1985, 5 years ago Marco Effe decided to swap the warm Mediterranean climate to reside in the industry honeypot, Berlin. The Italian is con­sid­ered to be one of the most promising tal­ents surfacing. Next to no time at all, Marco has transformed his career, utilizing a global stage to achieve world­-wide recog­ni­tion.
In 2007 Marco began to com­pose his own music and immediately felt a burning desire to pub­lish his first release “Wet June EP," released in Novem­ber 2008. 

Following on from the rich success of his debut release, Marco continues to never look back, never quite satisfied with his work, hotly pursuing perfection. Determined to further his collaboration work, together with the estab­lished label Big City Beats (Frank­furt) Marco’s tal­ent was truly unveiled to the world with his career up and firing.
2010 saw another release of “Malaysia/Muar EP” (one of his EP’s numer­ously played by Richie Hawtin in that year) once again making a hugely influential impact on the entire global club scene. Such a distinctive mark left a strong impression, landing himself on Break New Soil, Gre­gor Tresher’s mar­velous label. This allowed him to get in touch with Tresher´s book­ing agency, enabling him to become a mem­ber of their inter­na­tion­ally star stud­ded fam­ily affairs roster.

Marco Effe moved to Berlin in 2011 and a year later he releases “Jel­lied Eels” on Cocoon’s Dots & Pearls 2” It’s easy to hear why this has been sit­ting in the sets of Sven Väth and Luciano for some time. Marco Effe is also part of “Raw Verse” a new alias he uses to pro­duce spe­cial tracks receiv­ing recog­ni­tion world­wide. Marco is by now with­out a doubt a young and extremely ambi­tious artist, who can already put a check mark behind most of the top rank­ing events and clubs in Europe, such as the Water­gate Berlin, Time Warp Italy, Cocoon Club Frank­furt, Stu­dio 80 Ams­ter­dam, Sankeys Man­ches­ter, Harry Klein Munich, and many more. The high-class labels such as Break New Soil, Cécille, Sci+Tec, Tronic, Cocoon Record­ings are appro­pri­ate for all his lat­est releases.

We have set our sails for O.Z.O.R.A. 2017 and we are on our way. For this edition we’re joined again by the Looney Moon flagshipped PHOBOS, dj and label manager with Dj Fog, to check out what’s been happening since our last interview with him. During his all new set you can read the news in The Ozorian Prophet.

LOONEY MOON – After promoting Trance parties in Italy for many years, the illustrious crew of Looney Moon eventually decided to spread the vibe of their events to an international audience. And which better way could have been chosen than doing this via music? So Looney Moon Records was founded in 2008, drawing on a collective of promising and varied artists from the very first day.
Concerning the music, the two label heads DJ Fog and DJ Phobos manage to realize a refreshing independent underground style. Based on a very sophisticated approach towards production quality, Looney Moon stands for highly energetic, kicking bass sounds and catchy synthesizer riffs, escalating to twisted sound structures and uplifting breaks and finally joining all the musical forces again in an intelligent, harmonic and melodic groove. This sound philosophy is currently represented on the new compilation “Looney Mood” that lives up to its name pretty much and therefore includes some seriously mad dance floor bangers.

PHOBOS – Since always into electronic music, in 1997 dj Phobos started listening to psy-trance, going to parties and festivals all around Europe. As a dj he has played in many parties and festival around the world together with lots of artists of international fame in the world of trance. From the point of view of his musical choice, he doesn’t like sticking to just one style of psy-trance, but he prefers to adapt his set to the hour, the people and the situation he finds himself in, taking always special care of the mixing. When playing during the night hours, he usually offers a Psychedelic Trance oriented style, with very psychedelic sounds which try not to degenerate into maddening noise or too dark influences; in the morning hour he will more likely choose to play more full-on underground stuff, trying to remain within the borders of psychedelics but with softer sounds, more suited for the light. Anyway he would rather play at dawn, according to him the most suitable moment of the day to enjoy his best sets. His djset is full of unreleased stuff .

He founded Looney Moon records with a group of friends in 2008, and he’s still managing the label with dj Fog. Today Looney Moon Records is a very weel known music label with 5 killer compilations, 3 albums and lots of digital EP which bombed the dancefloors around the world.

Eugenio and Andrea since they were child always loved to play music. respectively as drummer and bassist, After they’re first psytrance party, they started to make their own sound and in 2010 was born Brain Jam. The aim is to merge diffrent music genres and weird ideas to create what we call ìmekkanopsyî a mashup of 1 and 0 , circuits, deep web noises, capacitors, switches, pieces of brains, knobs and mainframes.

Dubnotic is Marijan Zafirovski from Macedonia. “I made my first contact with psychedelic sound in the late 90s at some small club parties in Macedonia. At some point I discovered that there is small chilling areas that gives you cozy atmosphere and slow deep beats. I start exploring and after listening for a long time I decide to create something on my own so 2012 dubnotoc project was born. It is combination of dub etnic bass music with influences from oriental arabic hindu and shamanic culture.”

Sérgio Leitão aka Hydra-E was born in Porto on the 2nd of April 1982 in Portugal. Started with music when he was still young by influence of his family. Played several instruments, he was also was a member of a rock band by the age of 14. The taste for eletronic music was also very strong. And he started mixing metal music in a disco in Viseu by the age of 18. The paralel interest in trance made him continue exploring new kinds of sounds. Played dj for many years. Psyd3lik was the name of the project. Played in same stages as yab yum alien project and many other artist trough these years. The knowledge of all the genres he heard for all these years made Hydra-E.
A twilight psychedelic trance. Filled with psy influences. Floating grooves. And evolving ambients.

Interview with DAKINI FESTIVAL Crew | Festival Frequency | 21/04/2017

This week on our way to Ozora we’ll be guided by Michael Hodgson, the ‘dark dub-meister’ of PITCH BLACK and MISLED CONVOY who you can catch this summer both at The Dome (as M.C.) and the Dragon Nest (as P.B.).

MISLED CONVOY Excursions into electronica, noise, dub and beyond
In 2015 Dub Mission released Michael Hodgson’s debut studio album as Misled Convoy, ‘Tickling the Dragon’s Tail’. Michael is a prolific music producer who under various band names including Tinnitus, The Projector Mix and Pitch Black.

In 2016 he follows up ‘Tickling the Dragon’s Tail’ with a new release entitled ‘Translations’, a selection of remixes he has created under his artist name Misled Convoy in the last four years.

The acts he has worked with are drawn from a wide geographical and musical net: Feral Five an East London duo, raised by wolves on a diet of punk rock, disco and roots to form biting lyrics and dark pulsing beats, Holotronica which is the solo project of Stuart from Hexstatic, a retro futuristic syneasthetic trip; hailing from Tokyo, Super Cozi, one half of Zen Lemonade known for it’s Psychedelic & Progressive Trance; The Adults, a New Zealand rock supergroup set up by Shihad’s Jon Toogood with the haunting voice of Ladi 6; Flies + Flies, an up and coming London band described as “suffocating, disquieting and claustrophobic – yet, somehow, completely irresistible”; Animat, Down tempo dubby electronica duo from Sheffield; and finally Banco de Gaia, one of the worlds leading exponents of globally inspired eclectic electronica.

As you might then expect, the collection ‘Translations’, traverses a huge variety of genres, from electro house to dub techno, industrial ambience to broken beats all now awash in a sea of dub effects, delay and reverb in Hodgson’s distinctive style.

“I really love taking other peoples melodies and ideas and working them into completely new tracks with my production process. Because there is already a body of work and the idea then, is not in the original concept or origination, but in the how I re-imagine that track into a new work, a new sound, a new state.”

Some of the remixes simply re-present a new way to access and appreciate the original track, sometimes they produce completely different songs completely reimagined. Flies + Flies said the Misled Convoy remix hugely influenced how they play their original track live and Hodgson had the opportunity to hear them play his version back live on stage.
The last track on the album is a new remixed interpretation of his own original work from the album Tickling The Dragon’s Tail.

Interview with MISLED CONVOY | On the Way to Ozora 2017 | 29/04/2015

On our way to Ozora this Saturday afternoon our guide will be GABRIEL LE MAR of Saafi Brothers, who you can catch this summer both at Pumpui and The Dome.

GABRIEL LE MAR is a music producer, living in Frankfurt/Germany, releasing electronic music with a special focus on deep DubTech sounds and Dub inspired TechHouse.His mission remains the same today: exploring electronic music with a dub mindset. With an open mind and always in a search for fresh musical experiences, Gabriel Le Mar likes to integrate himself in different artistic constellations with his dub-inspired TechHouse project Dublocation as well as with the artistic collaboration with Dr. Motte. With his projects Saafi Brothers and Aural Float, Gabriel composed ambient, space and experimental sound scapes.
With Aural Float he worked on audiovisual concepts: as a team they did the artistic supervision of SPACENIGHT, a prototype of a TV-concept, utilizing spectacular film- and documentary footage from outer space with music made on earth. SPACENIGHT became a success on german television and soon reached cult status among the young night watchers until today. On his albums Gabriel produced tracks that are tailored for the dub inspired clubber, combining different playful approaches of Dub with the functionality and stringency of techhouse music. Bridges are built by energetic and minimal grooves. Solo and with his projects Gabriel Le Mar appeared at festivals like Time Warp, Deichbrand, Merkwürdiges Verhalten, Pollerwiesen, Reworks, Roskilde, Sziget, Tribal Gathering, Fusion, Hadra, Ozora…

THE SOUND OF GABRIEL LE MAR On the floor Gabriel is playing a set with live-overdubs that always celebrate the moment in a jam from DeepTechHouse and Techno. His DJ sets are traversed by soulful and minimal nuances. “Live i like using little mixers and other sound control tools in order to do real-time sound changes paying respect to the fact that every live situation has it´s own dynamics concerning the people, the acoustic situation in the room and of course emotional states of the people and me. I like using both: analog media like turntables and cd-players as well as digital equipment that makes it easy for me to bring the sound of my studio to and on the floor. Concerning energy and flow I love going through waves – flowing grooves, sometimes pushing and forcing, and deep soundscapes that make you dance and feel.”

The album will be released on 29 May and explores a fantastically unique soulful journey, whilst remaining true to the signature sound Alex has so elegantly articulated over his years as a musician. Chameleon, aka Alex Goodwill began his voyage into the world of Psychedelic music back in the mid nineties when the Goa Trance scene was in its infancy, and having moved to London in 1999 to study sound engineering he’s been dj’ng and learning to produce psychedelic music. Since 2008 he has released 3 Eps and many singles on various labels including Liquid Records, Nano and Neurobiotic, including a Beatport no.1 Ep. “Reptilian Genetics”. The past couple of years years has been spent working relentlessly to create an album which will define his unique interpretation of the music he has been so passionate about for more than half of his life. After his recent live gig in Mexico at the Alebrije festival, the forthcoming Chameleon album – ” Wild Life” features collaborations with Master Blasters, Tron, Viking Trance & Fluorenzo.

After more than a decade of Producing Techno music and performing around the world, Diamandy established himself as a producer with ‘’outside of the box’’ approach. Martin Georgiev a.k.a. DJANTRIX born in 1988 & hails from Skopje, Macedonia.
His first serious contact with music came when he was 10 years old, after which he knew his destiny. Djantrix started performing as a DJ in underground parties and clubs soon rising up as a prominent Psychedelic DJ in Macedonia. Soon after he wanted to recreate his own sounds and began learning production and synthesis.

Now as an individual artist, Djantrix has evolved with a serious and sophisticated focus on intelligent music. He specializes in creating unique psychedelic music filled with highly cutting psychedelic sounds. We can expect to hear from his production very powerful, twisted and high quality serious psychedelic music with a twist of intelligent morning melodies.

On Saturday afternoon on our way to Ozora our guide will be CHANCHA VIA CIRCUITO. During the talk w/ Pedro Canale we can listen to a couple of fresh tracks of the band.

This odd name is the alter ego for Argentinian producer, Pedro Canale. His music suggest a reformulation of Latin American World Music processing Brazil rhythms, paraguayan harps, andean mystic, folklore from the argentinian Pampa and, of course, cumbia. His seductive formula became a key reference for many artists who are now part of the Latin American Electronic music scene. With álbum “Rio Arriba” (2012) Chancha Vía Circuito put South American folklore on dancefloors around the world. Acclaimed in media like the Washington Post and The New York Times, his work was required by Gilles Peterson from BBC1 for his Project “Havana Remixed”, and also released remixes for artists like The Ruby Suns (Sub Pop) and Gotan Project (Ya Basta/ XL Recordings). His greatest media exposure came the following year by the hand of a meth manufacturer. Just like you read it: his great remix of José Larralde’s “Quimey Neuquén” was chosen for the popular TV series “Breaking Bad”. In that scene we see the dark character Walter White burying his millions in the desert, trapped by the surround Chancha Vía Circuito’s groove.
Pedro Canale is regarded as a cult artist for the most avant-garde electronic music circles. This characteristic has led him to be part of the program of bold events such as Mutek Montreal. He also has been part of the lineup of festivals like Roskilde (Denmark), Sonar (Spain), Calvi on the Rocks (France) and Vive Latino (México). Besides, he has gotten the attention and applause of prestigious media like Pitchfork, NPR, BBC, KEXP, Radio3, Earmilk, MTV Iggy, Vice, and The Fader. Chancha Vía Circuito’s last work is “Amansara” (2014) and was released by belgian record label Crammed Disc in Europe and Asia, and by Wonderwheel Recordings in U.S.A. and Oceania.

CHANCHA VIA CIRCUITO | On the Way to O.Z.O.R.A. 2017 | 03/06/2017

DIMITRI is playing on the Main Stage w/ Deedrah (as Dimitri DKN) and also as Dimitri Nakov on the Pumpui stage, for which you can warm up with his psychedelic techno mix for radiOzora. Before the mood-making tunes, you can also catch a talk with the artist about the life, the universe and anything in between.

It’s been another hectic summer season of DJ’ing for Ibiza resident Dimitri Nakov. Having worked hard with his good friend Sasha to establish their superb parties at Kumharas, the positive vibes have been flowing freely. A blueprint for this year’s success story was developed at Dimitri’s extended Saturday sessions at the Sunset Ashram hotspot that has been established as one of the island’s best chilled destinations over the past 2 years. Then there’s his regular Tuesday night mix show on the island’s finest radio station – Ibiza Global Radio.
Its a wonder then that Dimitri has found time to get creative in the studio, but with a steady stream of EPs and remixes set to be unveiled over the coming months, his dedication will add even more weight to his reputation as being one of the finest DJ/Producers on the scene today.

Having left London in for the more exotic climate of Brazil, Dimitri built a very strong reputation and established himself over a relentless 7 years of non-stop touring, playing (literally) every main event both there and also increasingly in Japan, Australia, Mexico…
In Japan helped set up Big Beach Tokyo. Fat Boy Slim played most, hence the name, along with Sasha, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Carl Cox and more. Ahead of the curve, they also featured a DC10 stage.

When the giant rave scene reached its peak, Dimitri moved over to the clubs, becoming a resident at Brazil’s legendary Warung Club, playing highly influential extended sets and building his strong reputation across the south of this large country, featuring at Cocoon parties, and alongside Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, and many more.

By 2009, a move back to Europe beckoned, and the following summer Dimitri started Never Say Never at what was originally the Ushuaia Beach Club (now Hotel), Ibiza, with Sasha. The event was a huge success and over 4 summer seasons, the duo brought in many excellent acts that would not normally play there. Dimitri also masterminded the legendary after parties, filling the party like never before and playing alongside guests such as Steve Bug, Ame, Steve Lawler, Booka Shade, Sneak, Sasha, Teifschwarz… The full list is almost endless, with most coming to play the parties for free, such was their reputation as being the best on the island.

When the summer season in the Northern hemisphere ends, Dimitri heads South for his second summer of the year, returning to Brazil….
