Kicking of this new series by TECHLAB, a Budapest-based, mass-hypnotizing electronic music collective, is KOMET99. Komet99 is a trance producer based in Oslo. With releases on labels such as Flux Collective, Techlab, VEHEMENCE and more, he is currently making waves with a steady flow of new releases. By combining fast trance sounds with melancholic atmospheres, he creates a captivating sound with a nostalgic feeling and high energy. About his mix, Komet99 says: "Some old gems as well as some new ones from some very talented artists! Trying to mix a few different styles together in a way that makes sense. Rising from the shadows comes a 90-minute blend of hang-tough beats for this latest in the Bassiani Podcast series. This one comes by way of Kaytseng, a Taiwanese transplant in the Netherlands who cut her teeth down under while playing Melbourne’s local circuit. Though the Amsterdam relocation’s only two years old, the move’s already budding a promising path for her sinister sound and bringing her into the European techno fold. Think merciless fast-trance, gritty and thrashing sounds that pack a punch with every beat, it’s a measure of brutal craftwork for footloose and die-hard raving, tough and highly physical. Her warpspeed tempos are racking up a following, and her Berghain debut as part of the CRUDE roster’s reared a long-term residency with the Berlin label to boot. Her sets are fun and quick on the draw and this latest one’s not afraid to show it. Kaytseng delivers an hour and a half of pulse-quickening rhythms that ramp up and roll to the hilt for Bassiani Podcast 262, rattling clicks and primeval bass, apocalypse ready techno that’s breathing fresh life into the global scene. The future of sound is fast approaching and this Taiwan selector’s both emergent defender and catalysing force.

UK-born artist Sioc is a seasoned DJ and producer, renowned for his elegantly detailed productions, seductive melodies, and aesthetic atmospheres. Now based in Berlin, Simon has become a notable presence in the modern underground scene, with releases on numerous acclaimed labels, including his newly-created Satori label.

His latest mix for Syntharax includes many of his own productions and is an authentic venture through a progression of genres and moods. With a methodical approach, Sioc harmoniously blends hypnotic psy and goa grooves with dark, hard-hitting rhythms, crafting immersive emotive story-telling through what resonates and connects right now.

"Le disque" encapsulates everything I want to offer as a producer, and what I want to play and listen to as a DJ, and fan of techno. I believe in long buildups, long tracks, good artwork, unique sounds and a element of flair.

This truly is the special one I've been working on, and it's only right to make this available on vinyl for you to enjoy.

After an epic release of vol.3 and some stand alone singles, I wanted to do something different, starting with my 'experimental' range which opened to my eyes to all of the different possibilities you can make in techno, rather than being constrained into a box.

I took the success of my album - which saw my follower go up by 100, and the creativity of my experimental work, and melded it into this track for you to enjoy, either as originally intended - or as a slowed/pitched edit of the track.

This will not be a free download and my first available to buy track both on vinyl, or digital.
