BMSS Records series kicks off with label manager BOOM SHANKAR. The talk will be followed with his freshet mix. Don’t miss it!

German based Boom Shankar is a Dj for Psychedelic Trance, the label manager of BMSS Records and an event promoter within Europe. Having been initiated into the Goa Trance scene in the early Nineties and by traveling the globe ever since, his sets are a mirror of the constant melting pot of fundamental Psytrance characteristics.
Whether he is guiding the dance floor through the night or into the morning, the outcome is always a voyage filled with a depth and an energy that allows the crowd to feel a sense of freedom through Trance. Groovy, deep, mature, hypnotic and clearly distinguishable.
Having played at many underground & major events worldwide, he has developed a full understanding of the flow and the energies of each dance floor and is flexible in terms of “styles”. Through his impromptu sets, he is able to interact personally with each dance floor, taking the audience on a trans-formative journey. His sets are a direct form of communication through music.

For Boom Shankar, this process of mutual giving and receiving between the DJ and the audience has led to meaningful feedback from festivals like S.U.N. and O.Z.O.R.A., Antaris, Fusion, VuuV, Glade, Summer never Ends, Hadra, Doof, Moksha, Transahara, Transylvania Calling, Timegate, Ometeotl, Universal Religion, Freqs of Nature, Trimurti, Neon and in clubs from New York to Bangkok, London, Tel Aviv and nearly every other corner of the world. Besides this, Boom Shankar is the label manager of BMSS Records where he has released 6 best-selling compilations so far: Transmissions, Transition, Cosmic Connections, the Trancendance triptych series and the Trancefsuion series featuring artists such as Aes Dana, Braincell, Tristan, Sonic Species & Avalon, Eat Static, Pogo, Lucas & Mechanimal, Egorythmia, Ovnimoon, Touch Tone, Audioform, Headroom & Zen Mechanics, Entheoegenic, Talpa, Martian Arts, Outsiders, ManMadeMan, Pleiadians, Zyce, Atmos, Cosmosis, Electrypnose, Imaginarium, Reversed Logic, Hujaboy, ShivaTree and many more. Fohat is the stage name of Christian Heyer, a Munich born and based Psytrance DJ and producer. His musical roots can be found in the 80`s underground styles of gothic, industrial and dark-wave music.
When goa trance got invented in the early 90`s, he knew from the very first moment that this music (or let`s say life philosophy) will be his musical home forever. And he never left since then.
It took him another 10 years until he started DJing in 2003 and in 2008 he joined BMSS Records as a label DJ. Amongst others Fohat is representing these days the Psytrance and Full-On style of the label.
In 2013 he also started producing his own psytrance tracks and is presenting them now within his DJ sets in creating always a very unique listening experience. A debut EP is about to be released soon.

A dedicated soldier armed with an old school hippie vibe and a pocket full of Psychedelic Kryptonite, LX-D is on a mission to ensure the roots of the Goa scene remain well protected from imposters, and the troubles of a fast growing scene.   Young but filled with enthusiastic wisdom and an ability to lead the dancefloor on a journey through time and space, LX-D has already played gigs around Europe in Spain, Portugal, England, the Netherlands and festivals including Antaris Project (DE), Gaggalacka (DE), Green Vibrations (NL) and Munay Festival (ESP).   Finally on board and signed onto BMSS Records in 2017, LX-D is the newest member of our Psychedelic family…and the upcoming season looks promising! Leopardtron is a Live Psytrance act based in Spain consisting of two members, Danny Jaap & Manuel González.
They have been releasing music since 2013 (Gloom Music members since the beginning),
4 EP´s so far, many tracks in various compilations and numerous collaborations with different artists.
Their music covers different styles as one can extrapolate from their Live set. Energetic, funny and forceful with touches of many aspects of electronic music which makes their music sound totally original.
After many years of hard work to high standards of production, their sound has evolved and continues to do so every day.

San Pedro is the fresh project out of Brazil by Pedro Altoé (also known for his former project Made On Earth), which will be making its debut on Grasshopper Records with a 2 song EP titled “Cactus Funk”.
The tracks are funky and have an uplifting and entrancing feel which is often heard in the deep South American psychedelic trance sound we all love. San Pedro has previously made solo releases under the name IkeSense, before recently changing his name for this promising 2 track debut EP.
