Label head honcho, DJ PHOBOS is back on Looney Moon Records series to present his current favourite seriously mad dancefloor bangers.

After promoting Trance parties in Italy for many years, the illustrious crew of Looney Moon eventually decided to spread the vibe of their events to an international audience. And which better way could have been chosen than doing this via music? So Looney Moon Records was founded in 2008, drawing on a collective of promising and varied artists from the very first day.   Concerning the music, the two label heads DJ Fog and DJ Phobos manage to realize a refreshing independent underground style. Based on a very sophisticated approach towards production quality, Looney Moon stands for highly energetic, kicking bass sounds and catchy synthesizer riffs, escalating to twisted sound structures and uplifting breaks and finally joining all the musical forces again in an intelligent, harmonic and melodic groove. This sound philosophy is currently represented on the new compilation “Looney Mood” that lives up to its name pretty much and therefore includes some seriously mad dance floor bangers.

Hey guys, 

We're happy to launch our own podcast, this will be dedicated to our artists. For this 1st one we're focusing on our Head Honcho Z3nkai, who brought us a kick ass Dj Set featuring some of the freshest artists of the moment such as : 

Earthworm, Radikal Moodz, Filterheads, Module Virus, Ingrained Instincts, Section B, Rezonant and more. We don't have the exact tracklist, Nico recorded this after a party...

We hope that you'll like this series of Podcast as much as we do and hopefully you'll get more familiar with our music ❤

Z3NKAI is a swiss born artist. His energy and the quality of his sets quickly put him at the forefront of the party scene. At the age of 23, he had already played stages all over Europe. He decided to build Digital Shamans Records as he worked on his live act.

It didn’t take long until he had released a CD compilation, a solo EP and was performing all over the world including New York, Brazil, New Caledonia, Mexico, Costa Rica and festivals such as Mo:dem, Shiva Shankar, Simsalaboom and Universo Paralello.

He released his album Z3nkai and friends at the end of 2018 and is now working on a solo Ep and another one with his friends Mental Bugs.

I Get the Funk -  Dj Set @ TANTRA Festival 2K18

Here is the first set of mine for the new year ... its one hour recorded from a 3 hour set i played in January for SHIVAMOON at a Sangoma night on the legendary Koh Phangan island in Thailand. The last time i went was in 2003 so lots has changed but the spirit remained the same - although it is not as open anymore and one has to look a bit closer. Unfortunately my recorder didnt have more space to record the whole set ... anyway this should be a glimpse of foresty nighttime music ... Looking forward to be back back in Thailand soon.

Since 2015, he played on several stages in France and around the world his groovy and punchy psychedelic dj sets (Thailand, China, Malaysia, Israel, Italy) and in renowned festivals like Hadra Festival or Wao Festival… In 2019, he joined Sangoma Records as Label DJ to fulfill his dream. His style blends morning and night psychedelic, powerful and catchy dj sets that awaken dancefloors. He takes his influences in labels like Sangoma or Looney Moon.
