Mastermind and Co-Founder of the Cape Town based brand State Alchemy, Alex Profound called on the key players in his arsenal of freshly harvested music. Bringing together forest, dark and traditional psy-trance soundscapes with a common groove and that particular "indescribable something" that just makes you want to spin around and dance! Throughout this journey Profound uses his his signature DJ techniques to remind the listeners that we are still live in the mix. Tastefully adding personal flare and gentle reminders of the DJ’s active, and LIVE, role in bringing it all together into a seamless recording is something we feel is has become lost.

Tiago Matos, aka Unexpected / DJ Slash. Productor musical y DJ, licenciado en Música Electrónica y Producción Musical en E.S.A.R.T, nacido en 1984 en las islas Azores y expresó temprano un especial interés en la música. A finales de los 90, después de algunas experiencias de banda en Metal, descubrió Psytrance.

En 2001, Slash comenzo un proyecto que se extiende desde Psytrance a Minimal. En 2004/2005, Slash destaca por sus actuaciones al ritmo de Tribal House, Progress y Deep. En 2006 comenzó la producción, en colaboración con Neurotronik en el proyecto Twisted Trolls. En 2007 fue invitado a representar a la Agencia de Música Swing. En 2008, fue invitado a Fractal Species Rec. En 2012 comenzó a representar a Woorpz Rec, en este mismo año comenzó Unexpected. En 2013, Slash fue invitado a trabajar en Suiza en una estación de esquí que tocaba en Courage Club hasta 2015. En el verano de 2015, Slash lanzó su primer álbum recopilatorio en Woorpz Rec llamado Rendez-Vous. En 2017, decide cambiar su música por algo más rápido, psicodélico y es invitado a representar a Reversible Records. Contando ya con algunos lanzamientos.

Tiago Matos aka Unexpected aka DJ Slash, music producer and DJ, degree in Electronic Music and Music Production in E.S.A.R.T, born in 1984 in Azores islands and early expressed a special interest in music. In the end of the 90's after some band experiences in Metal he discovered Psytrance.

In 2001, Slash started a project that spans from Psytrance to Minimal. In 2004/2005, Slash stands out for his performances to the rhythm of Tribal House, Progress and Deep. Production started in 2006, in collaboration with Neurotronik on the Twisted Trolls project. In 2007 he was invited to represent the Swing Music Agency. In 2008, he was invited to Fractal Species Rec. In 2012 he began representing Woorpz Rec, in this same year he started Unexpected. In 2013, Slash was invited to work in Switzerland at a ski resort that played at Courage Club until 2015. In the summer of 2015, Slash released his first compilation album on Woorpz Rec called Rendez-Vous. In 2017, he decides to change his music for something faster, psychedelic and is invited to represent Reversible Records. Already counting on some releases.

Our focus is on Danish psy label Protoned Music, talking with head and founder DJ Woos, followed by his mix to showcase the label soundscapes.

Woos is head and founder of Protoned Music, Co founder of Utopia Events, S.H.I.V.A Spirit Festival, Atma Project, Protoned & Friends in CPH & founder of Psychedelic Issues.
Woos has been playing all over Denmark since his first booking in the summer of 2006 and is a well known DJ artist at the danish psychedelic music stage and at festivals around the world. The first years he mainly played dark psychedelic trance, it was his big passion, and also to make Dark psychedelic parties in co. with ex. Parvati Records in Denmark for release parties like the party and release "No strings attached" back in 2008. But like all things changes, Woos did as well. After the forest era Woos started playing more progressive trance dj sets. He got the crowds attention around europe, and got more bookings for his progressive project. After a period of progressive Woos was back on his path to sharing psychedelic around to people, and now makes dj sets in night time psychedelic style 147 - 150 and more lighter psychedelic trance. Thats his call <3
Woos is a well known DJ in Europe and around India, where he has played at Hilltop Festival, Hilltop Sunday, Shiva Valley, Plan B, Dream Beach, Kitty Sue, UV Bar. To mention some of the festivals around the world: Sonica 10 years Festival, Freedom Festival, Antaris Festival, Indian Spirit Festival, UFO Bufo Festival, WAHA Festival, WAO Festival, Digital Forest Festival, Back To Nature Festival, Psychedelic Circus, SHIVA Spirit Festival , Scandinavian Electronic Festival, Slagthus Area Festival, Spirits of The Jungle, Tree of life festival, We are 1 Festival. Protoned Music is a concept founded in 2006. This community has been hosting events as Utopia, Atma, Psychedelic Issues, Protoned & Friends and Shiva Spirit Festival. In 2009 they started signing DJ’s and Producers and with their first release in 2016 Protoned evolved into a label aswell.
Today the Protoned family has grown into 6 members – and they’re all ready to bring new grounds to the ever-evolving world of psytrance!
