IrgumBurgum is a Hungarian interjection and means a father's pretended anger towards his son. In 2006 two friends who were DJs got pissed off and created a project called IrgumBurgum. Garcy gave the name for the duo and Gyuri (Jirzij) is the father of Psybaba Records for 8 years so far. The guys have been on the music scene since nearly 20 years. They perform on loads of parties and you can find their name on the line up of big festivals. Their style is "pure night psychedelic trance".

RadiOzora's new series, PsyBabas, which debuted last week, is continuing Thursday evening. This weekend is about commemorating the Hungarian Revolution, and the psychedelic family is also joining the celebrations with a 3-day-long mega-giga goa event, the Psyktoberfest, where PsyBaBa Records representatives always have their well-deserved place. Joining the hosts, Jirzij and Garcy, in this edition is one of the artists performing on the dark/hi-tech stage, one of the residents of the PBB-parties, Nicolas of MEGALOPSY [DARK PRIiSMA RECORDS]. You can also expect quite a few appetizers from the party program as well.

Megalopsy is a psychedelic exploration born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2002, focused on creating musical potions designed to waken the user into awareness. Combining influences from life, nature, travels in inner and outer space, Megalopsy uses music as a tool to shape and enhance perception, exploring a wide spectrum of sound dimensions, materializing them in a psychedelic audible format, suitable for dancefloors and home-listening.

With the winter at the door, the forest is woven with fresh air and the fragrance of pines, and icycles are drizzling with crystal clear dew. Gail is ready for the holiday season, as he has been visiting all the mountain neighbours in their caves and he filled his sack with more goodies than we can imagine. Some of them he decided to keep for himself, as to keep him entertained and busy during the coming chilly days, but some of them he packed carefully to share with all of us.

We at Forestdelic have received a whole pile of gift packs at our address this morning, and had the pleasure to try them out for ourselves first, and we can tell you, Gail made a compilation of the best of the best sounds the cave dwellers produced lately. As we’re still dancing to all of them repeatedly, we’re obliged by him to also share them free of charge with all of you, so feast your ears and treat your feet to a stomping holiday season!

Having made his initial mark as co-founder of influential psychedelic duo “Atriohm”(now performed as a solo act by Leo’s brother Sashe), Leo Golcev has forged a powerful and enduring creative identity as Tengri. Matching a fiercely original sonic vision with deep atmospheric and psychedelic storyline his music embodies an emotional and spiritual voyage that echoes some of the Leo’s most intimate experiences and encounters with the world and people.
As an accomplished producer and formally trained pianist, Leo first came in contact with psychedelic music in the early nineties. Influenced by the early developments of psychedelic chill and goa music combined with dub, ethnic, deep and atmospheric sounds, he soon ventured into music production. It is precisely that balance of complexity, musical curiosity and thoughtfulness that has fueled a renewed sense of Leo’s musical presence in past twenty years.

The sonic vision and emotional honesty that drive Leo’s music have been consistent throughout his successful musical career. After more than a decade with Atriohm, during which time the duo toured the world together, Leo opted for a more relaxed lifestyle and dedicated himself exclusively to the exploration of various downtempo forms and the production of genuinely exceptional ambient music. By adopting the alter ego of Tengri, he quickly established a distinctive sound, as well as an adventurous production approach that forthrightly aimed to give primacy to the raw immediate experience of music without much studio/production compromises. As a consequence, the first solo psychedelic chill album, 2012’s “Icaros” (Peak Records) made an instant impact with fans and critics, as did subsequent singles releases.

Five years after the first release, Leo’s second studio album, intriguingly titled “Old Soul” takes another path. As a forthcoming release (Parvati Records), this psychedelic trance album marks a milestone for the multifarious Macedonian producer. The consistently riveting psychedelic mood of the album marks a timely return to musical roots for Leo, whose innovative, influential body of work has established him as one of the most potent creative forces in the world of psychedelic music. The album defines itself by honest and organic sound design. Indeed, Old Soul is stunning work of psychedelic music, full of lush and haunted atmospheres, nervous squelches and aggressive leads that evolve against a melodic, almost serenity-inducing backdrop. It’s genuine sonic self-expression of an intriguing musical novelist who has ostensibly until now left too many stories untold. Rawar is Helder Amaral from Portugal, born at Porto city in late 70 ́s. Rawar project is intended to bean electronic music act, directed to psychedelic scene and the reflection of some of the feelings and emotions presented in all day life in human-beings, trying to overcome fears and sadness trough musical meditation. Rawar project as absorbed the influences of Helder ́s music background, from heavy metal,to the 80 ́s pop rock, Disco and psytrance all of them are present on the frequencies and patterns created on these project. The project Rawar comes to light in 2006 from the ashes of helder ́s first incursion trough psychedelic production (Dominus).

Kostas Daikos is the person behind the Greek project E-Mov.
His interest in electronic music production started during his student years which he spent mostly in the UK. With the experience he already had from many years of musical studies and as a performing guitar player in various bands, he started composing various styles from lounge to drum’n’bass, over ambient to psychedelic. In 2003 E-Mov was formed, aiming mostly in creating a blend of psychedelic and progressive music, largely influenced by ethnic and tribal elements. Guitars, male and female vocals and percussions were ingeniously incorporated. Since 2013 E-Mov joined Belgian label Dacru Records.

Dacru Records is a Belgian psytrance label. The label boosts a strong selection of artists, from major names with a 20 year career under the belt to younger promising talents. The rosters includes names like U-Recken, Talamasca, DigiCult, Spirit Architect, Tropical Bleyage, Bitkit, E-Mov, Electric Universe, Aquila, Overdrive, A-Tech, Transient Disorder and more. The aim is to release timeless music with a strong emphasis on the psychedelic and melodic.
Besides being a record label Dacru has also been making a name as event promoter with over 80 events since 2001, that’s a whole of a lot of experience that goes into organizing quality productions. The events have taken place all over Belgium, from The Netherlands to Germany and even in exotic places as Thailand and include big and small indoor events, open air festivals, bus trips, 11 day pop up clubs and more. Some of the party lines include Organic Dreams, Tribal Roots, After Sunrise and Nova’s Incident open air.

Elowinz was created by Diogo Gouvea and Tomas Vezzali in 2012
From 2015 onwards Diogo handles the project alone.

His music roots are in Hard Core and Punk bands where he played and performed in the undergound scene of Sao Paulo.

Since 2005 producing psychedelic music on different projects and in 2012 the Elowinz Live Act became the focus of his productions.The detailed percussion work together with arrangements of different synthesis are gently guiding the dancers into trance.

His first EP, Sananga was released in October 2016, followed in 2019 by his second Granjurema.

Our next virtual guest on In Focus is Mexican producer, EERIEGEIST! 

Eeriegeist is a forest psychedelic trance project developed by the young mind of Sebastian Salas residing in Mexico City. His first impressions on psychedelic music were on 2013, since that and after a few years experimenting with sound and improving his production techniques, the project takes his sonic exploration to a more groovy and deep psychedelic context managed through a complex arrange of carefully designed psychedelia. Eeriegeist is now part of the Squarelab Music roster, but he has also released multiple tracks on compilations under some of the best underground labels like: Spontaneous Aerobics, WooDog Recordings, Forestdelic Records, Digital Shamans, Dream Project, etc.

Fungus Funk is Sergei Prilepa, an established psychedelic trance musician from Moscow, Russia. Sergei started producing psytrance in 1998, and he has been releasing music since 2001. Over the past 15 years, Fungus Funk has put out his compilation tracks on numerous other labels. To his credit are four well-received full length albums: ‘F-People’ (2006) on Acidance, ‘Vostok 1’ (2008) together with Samadhi on Blitz Studios, ‘Electric Grooves’ (2010) also on Blitz Studios, and ‘Kremlin Gremlin’ (2012) on his own label Unlimited Music. Additionally, Sergei also released four acclaimed EPs. Fungus Funk’s sound is not easy to define as it incorporates features from different sub-genres of psytrance and generally tends to change from album to album. Regardless of which version of Fungus Funk you get to experience, it is guaranteed to be full of fat well defined basslines, powerful psychedelic leads, and top-notch sequencing. Courtesy of his productive musical output and subsequent popularity in the international psytrance scene, Fungus Funk regularly travels the globe and plays his live and DJ sets at various dance music events. Among some of the bigger festivals he has appeared at are the well-known Boom Festival (Portugal), O.Z.O.R.A. Festival, Sonica (Italy), Antaris (Germany), Transcendence (Brazil), and Hadra (France) among others.

Banyan Records an eminent label in the psychedelic trance culture today was founded in the year 2011 by two sonic alchemists Senang and DJ Hu Gadam from Tyrol/Austria. With this label, they intend to create a pool for local and international artists to present their latest, fresh tunes of surreal, mystical, earthy, grounded, dark forest/psychedelic tunes. Their melodic figurations of sounds and heavy bass lines sparks inspiration from woods and murky atmospheres. Each artist on their roster experiments , using synthetic frequency patterns and distorted effects and creates a story to tell with every musical piece. Hu Gadam aka, Asmodis entered the colourful psychedelic dancefloors in the year 1999. Opportunity knocked on his doorstep, when he began organizing private parties starting from 2004, with his first official party happening in 2005. The year 2004 was when Asmodis began dishing out his music and organizing psychedelic trance events and forest music festivals like Fairies Dreams, Dark Fairies Dreams and Stomping Goats in the year 2019.In the year 2011, he created Banyan Records along with his friend Senang. With Banyan Records behind his back, he wished to express his perception of dark forest psychedelic trance music. And since 2018, he has also worked together with the Russian label, Organic Alchemy Records which he supported as a label DJ. He has performed in many parties and festivals around the world with his sets, and you can safely hold your expectations and have a highly hypnotic psychedelic music night!

HU-GADAM | Banyan Records Series Ep. 1 | 31/03/2020

Greek duo, INGRAINED INSTINCTS is back on Sangoma series with a new set, filled with tracks from their new album, Invent The Future and other fresh tunes as well.

Ingrained Instincts is a unique project consisting of Tilemachos Vlachos, and Dafy Deliangelos, originally from Greece, but residing in London. Both have shared the same passion for Psychedelic music since their very early days. They met in 2001, formed a project together, and started to develop a different sound, but one totally sympathetic to the scene, and yet wholly psychedelic, and funky!
After many years of experimentation, the Ingrained Instincts project was born in 2014. Their sound could be described as an amalgamation of many variations which don’t fit in one box – definitely different and organic sounding. For their production they use analogue as well as digital hardware, and are building their own modular system. Tilemachos also has a downtempo project called “Escape Velocity”, with releases on Spiral Trax, Sonic Loom and Eardream Music amongst other labels. Ingrained Instincts so far released on TIP Records, Nano Records, Goa Productions, Blacklite Records, BMSS and are now signed with Sangoma Records. Although Ingrained Instincts is a relatively new project they have been busy touring around the globe and have performed live at some of the biggest festivals of the Psytrance scene such as Boom, Ozora, Sonica, Antaris, FreeEarth, Kosmos and many others…
This is one project you have to keep an ear out for, because before you know it you’ll be dancing away. Uncontrollably! It’s infectious.

GNORK: I rarely do a mix and when I do, I usually play trippy tunes. So one afternoon went to the empty LARM, and imagined there was a bunch of guys on the floor. Crazy people, great dancers, listeners, ravers, introverts, aliens and a cute little badger. Played some bangers for them. Actually they really enjoyed it.
