Jovan had an interest in electronic music since the early days, he began his career in 2000 as a techno D.J. but after a few years finds himself in psytrance and ambient music. 10 years later with his best friend Ivan Jovicic create very successful psytrance project Middle Mode which is active today. During the work on Middle Mode Jovan met Slobodan Gaćeša Aka Vertex and a common passion for the slower bits are transformed into projects Merlin & Sufi’s Life.1st Release happened in 2013 on Uxmal Rec, The project is created only with one purpose to rise up vibration of light and love,to bring joy and happines and to bring you in deeper inside journey.

Oh Lordy it’s Fordy! With many years of mixing experience, you can be assured that you’re partying with a pro when you book the legend that is Fordy! From the early days of the pioneering underground parties like Spooky & Pickle parties in the woods near his home through to dj residencies & appearances at parties all around the globe such as Psychedelic Circle, Secretsoma, The Experience Festival, Ban Sabaii, Brainwaves, Psymera, Tribal Sphere, Fluff Squad, Shattered Barriers, Planet Bob, 9 Bar, Roots, Free-Spirit, Freak Bazaar, 5th Element, Quantum Mind, Indian Connection, Newfoundland, Astral Circus, Earthcore, Free Bass, Bass Station, System 6, Beats Around The Bush, MadAsss, Cohesion, Offworld and Cosmo festivals and so many more – if it’s a party worth going to he’ll either be rocking their socks off or carving it up on the dancefloor if he’s not behind the decks.
He is a firm favourite on London’s vibrant, underground party scene.
He started mixing in 1994 & has been causing maximum dancefloor devastation at many of the finest parties all over the world ever since. His sound has an intense, vibrant energy & can best be described as super-rocking, fierce & funky, big & bouncy, hard & heavy, cheeky, confident, striding, twisted, groovy full power psychedelic trance with plenty of oomph to put a smile on your face, love in your heart, ants in your pants & to make you dance your tits off. His production work has been steady & he has made many tracks over the years, including his album “Loony Magnet” & a single out on Passion Records in 2002, ‘Mash Up The Town’ (with Riksta) was awarded four stars by DJ magazine. He progressed onto creating epic tracks with Fedro under the LOS CUSTARDOS guise, unfortumnately Fedro died in 2015 but some of their music will released very soon by Blue Hour Sounds Records. Look out for their debut E.P. coming soon. He also produces music with Noctem as Confusionism, all of which adds a unique sound to his high energy DJ sets. As he says: “Music production is a slow process, be patient and great things will emerge very soon!” He also says, “Life’s too short for rubbish music!” & with this in mind he always tries to ensure that his sets are interesting, groovy, fun & above all else, make you want to dance!

DJing has taken Fordy as far afield as Australia, Japan, Goa, Thailand, New Zealand, Holland, Italy, Brazil, Fiji and Singapore. His awesome Fluff Squad events have also raised money for charity along with injecting some much-needed fun & colour into the London scene & have even made local news headlines. With plenty of unreleased, exclusive tracks still to see the light of day, he’s one to watch.

Interview with KAMINANDA | On the Way to O.Z.O.R.A. 2016 | 09/04/2016

In this edition of Iono Music’s series presents Portugal duo Ivan Filipe and Daniel Bernardo a.k.a. ATMOIZERS.

Plants, animals, people, and objects – They are all made out of one of the smallest unit known to civilization, the atom. Combining vibrations, these particles are assembled into different shapes and conditions that mutate according to a particular melody. The soundtrack of each material is then determined by moods, feelings and emotions. Recently a new formula was discovered, a revolutionary substance that has the power to generate electronic-sonic frequencies that can transform the nucleus structure and create something else, something better, something mesmerizing – Atomizers.
The origin of this new configuration is in Portugal, specifically with its inventors Ivan Filipe and Daniel Bernardo. Known for his multiple personalities as Holophonik, Ankh, Existence, Holographic Brain,and Techyon – Filipe decided it was time for the next improved experiment, and it had to be in collaboration with Bernardo. Coming from a rave fuelled family, Filipe was inspired by his father’s club at the center of Portugal and a Psytrance party he went to in 1996 and took this passion to the next level – creating music. He started producing music in 2000 and shortly after in 2001 he started DJing. Inspired by the spiritual cultures he experienced in India, Filipe learned to play the flute and explore the musical sensibilities of the locals. Fascinated by non-Western sounds, Ivan went to absorb inspiration in Thailand, Morocco, Sahara, Egypt, and Cambodia to enhance his artistic endeavour. The tuning of his expertise continued with learning electronic music production in Etic art school, as well as acquiring mixing and mastering skills.

The other scientist, Bernardo, is also notorious for his skilful shenanigans. A natural born musician, Daniel played guitar and drums to express his fury in Metal bands during the early 1990s. From 1995 he was hooked to electronic music. His first Boom festival experience in 1998 made him realise his magnetic force must be translated to Psytrance music. It took him 4 years to release his first album, in 2002, as Menog – Natural Behaviour – And the rest is a vibrating history. After numerous albums, remixes and EPs released in labels such as Nutek, 3Division, Shiva Space Tech, Phantasm , SpaceTribe Music, Digital Psionics , Acidance, Planet Ben, and many more – It was time to spice it up and create a super hybrid material, and so, in 2013 (?) – Atomizers was created.

Combining the knowledge of these two laboratory technicians means the ultimate recipe for a dance you will never forget. Mixing body, mind and soul, Atomizers will distort everything sonic science thought it knew before, and introduce new frontiers to sound, beat and hypnotizing orchestra. Mutations and abnormalities will burst and explode, but the allure and mystic will grow exponentially. You will not be able to resist, as your body will go crazy. (or: as this project will blow your mind)

They have know each other since 2001, but only now in 2013 they decided to start a project together,
First ep was released at Iono Music July 2014.
At the Moment they are working on their Debut Album to be released on Iono.
Expect lots of feelings in this galactic combination, from more progressive sound to a bit of Psy.
They are bound to blast every dance floor on planet earth.

Interview with ATOMIZERS | Iono Music Showcase Vol. 5 | 15/04/2016

SAD PARADISE is the progressive psytech project of James Copeland from Cape Town.

Having spent the last decade as one of the pioneers of the South African psytrance scene with his full on project Broken Toy, the time was right to seek new horizons and new challenges. A new modern psychedelic sound had to be born.
Sad Paradise – a feeling of contradiction in beauty and happiness describes the mixed emotions conjured up by this experience. Searing intense cerebral moments opening out onto lush landscapes of sound both spacious yet deep – groovy yet driving. It’s years of experience culminating in the sound of now with the feel of the oldschool, so it’s no surprise that he`s got respect and remixes from some of the best in the business, such as Perfect Stranger, Ace Ventura, Rocky, Zyce, Capital Monkey and the list goes on.

With his first batch of releases going out on top labels like Iboga, Echoes, Iono and now signed to the mighty Nano Records, it wasn’t long before this young project was off to see the world, having already travelled as far afield as Germany , Australia, Mexico and Brazil all within its first year. From the streets to the beaches and everything inbetween – Welcome to Paradise.
