On the Way to DAAD is a new series coming to your every second Saturday, showcasing the sounds and artists you can expect at the second technolicious gathering in the Valley next summer. In this first edition we're presenting a b2b set from Detective Kelly /resident Der Morgen crew member, warmup set master/ and Man+Machine /DJ, producer, music selector addicted to post-industrialism, cyberpunk, futurism and neon lights/, both integral part of the Hungarian underground music scene. Their first back-to-back set was a random idea at the last Raveyard before the 2020 lockdown, becoming one of the last DJ sets at the legendary Budapest Dürer Kert club before the venue closed for good. Now they are teaming up again for Daad. This 90-min-mix includes some fresh stuff from their favorite labels, some released and unreleased tracks from Man + Machine.

Vedat Akdağ, native Turkish DJ, lives and plays his sets and mixes in various underground clubs of Budapest (Hungary) where he currently lives. Discovering music by playing drums, he developed a intense passion for techno music at an early age. His live performances are powerful and subtile mixes of dynamic emotions and mind-blowing beats. He titles this mix 'Haram Electronics', which he recorded at his home studio with lots of tea and ginger.

Sobek & Mulya are on their way to the next DAAD Gathering, where they will treat us to an exclusive b2b set. SOBEK is not only known for his Egyptian crocodile god's name, but also for deconstructing glossy polished originals with his unrivaled remixing talent and creating innovative and thought-provoking original music across many sub genres, earning him support from some of the biggest names on the scene like Pete Tong, Dixon, Ame, Adam Port, Black Coffee and Adana Twins. In 2021 he founded the Complaint Kulture label together with long-time friend and studio partner Mulya. MULYA, a progressive mastermind with a father who’s an opera conductor, his destiny was written. Hit by the wind of the progressive house movement, Mulya dug deep into harmonies and melodies around the late 2000’s. Keeping the flow of rolling synth lines and complex productions, he stepped out with his first EP ”Marvin” on MoBlack Records; the tune played by a wide range of A list artists from different genres and created a huge wave through the summer of 2017, followed by a brilliant three-tracker at Super Flu’s Monaberry, a sonic message from future galaxies. Don’t expect else than heavy drums, accurate production and deep vibes from the man behind the name MULYA.

As singer, conductor, cultural manager and booker, Patajana has always been surrounded by music and she plays what she loves: deep, melodic and progressive techno from hypnotic 100 to bouncy 130 bpm. Her sets are very different collages that express what’s on her mind, what tickles her soul: Classic(al) music and techno; Music to dream, to embrace the very moment, to rave, to hover. Based in Budapest, she played sets in clubs and festivals around Europe and is part of Taka Tuka Island, Taka Tunes, Sisterriot and WUT München. Joining us this summer at the second DAAD Gathering will be the PIZZA AMORE duo. The two young friends behind the almost banal and wickedly waggish name have been treating the scene with spirited sets for some time past. Musically, their duo is definitely one of the most unleashed characters of the night and cherished by many from the old school to the new generation. Knowing their multiple taste in music from minimal to cosmic house and techno or sneaky breaks they are an absolute delight for the open-minded audience. Our first thought was to do a deep, clean and punchy techno mix. In their words about the set: "When we met and started to check both of our digs, we realized it would be better to show you something similar to the actual stuff we are going to play on that Saturday morning. Futuristic, tribal house and techno tracks flavored with some UK bass and dub."
