On the Way to Ozora 2022 is a series showcasing artists of OZORA 2022. Finally and again on our way to the much-awaited Ozorian reunion, this first episode featuring the artists we can expect in the Valley in 2022 presents Render. Render is the psytrance project by Ricky Casero, also known as Frequency Less (Psybreaks/ Downtempo). His unique psy style is a mix of passionate body moving fullon, wisely blended with night atmospheres and rolling bass lines. Unexpected combinations of catchy vocals and acid funky sounds make the journey super energetic and fluid for the dancer, without missing the soul and essence of the psytrance self-exploring experience. Tune in and drop out with this new mix from him packed with upcoming releases and singles.

Michael Abel-Larsen, known as DJ Banel or Michael Banel, hails from Copenhagen and is a founder and co-owner of the legendary Iboga Records, IbogaTech and Sofa Beats labels. 

With a DJ career starting in 1988, his musical journey has travelled through more than three decades, countless countries and an unimaginable number of stages. From the early acid house era of the 80s to founding Iboga in the 90s and now, Banel has been at the forefront of trends in the electronic scene since the early days to whip dance floors into a frenzy around the world.

Today you can find Banel dropping either massive techno bangers or destroying dance floors with thumping progressive trance sets. Whichever style you choose, though, one feature of his performances remains the same: expertly crafted arrangements take rapturous listeners through the peaks and troughs of the genre on a musical journey to elation.

One of the international scene’s established taste-makers, Banel’s access to the freshest sounds and sense for ‘the next big thing’ has taken him around the globe from the dusty outback of Australia to the hot deserts of Israel, from the beaches of Mexico to the ice-cold midpoint of Russia and beyond. Driven by pure passion for the music and the scene, there is no sign of Banel slowing down any time soon.

Banel is also one half of the duo MVMB, releasing the full-length album The Sleeper Must Awaken on Iboga in 2016 and the follow-up Phase 01 in 2019, released on Ibogatech.

Born in 1994, Misaki is a young Japanese talent who launched her first party called NakeD in her local area of Japan in 2013 and started to act as psytrance DJ and party organizer. She organized her first own party Candyflip in 2015 and she still organizes one every year with her amazing Japanese family. Full-on psychedelic trance is her main style that she plays frequently at Japanese open air parties and clubs.

We are on the road to Dome Zero at Ozora '22 with UNI. UNI is a Psychedelic Trance project based in Japan, formed in '96 by Yasunori Matsuda & Yamazaki Yasushi, who started music production influenced by Goa Trance, and their style is impressive melody and story combined with the Japanese style. UNI has been performing at hundreds of events in Japan including legendary parties, and also at the international big festivals in Taiwan, Greece, Australia, and Israel, to name some, and have released 5 albums since 2008. Currently UNI is produced by Yasunori as a solo project. UNI & Tsuyoshi Suzuki feat YUKI-M "Kotodama" released on Nano Records was in the top 100 Beatport for 50 days. UNI represents a worldview, a one-of-a-kind story that mixes old-school taste with striking melodies and fat, groovy new sounds.

On the Way to Ozora Festival 2022 is also FOURMI ROUZ, seeting the mood with this mix, an imaginary soundtrack for the magic carpet ride across the continents. Berlin-based jack-of-all-trades Logeshen Moorgan alias Fourmï Rouz has established a name synonymous with panchromatic groove science and genre-unbound open-mindedness. Championing a "globe-trotting, nomad music style” that knows no boundaries, Fourmï Rouz’s defies clichés and pigeonholes through extra wide-spanning, free-spirited mixes that offer bespoke moments for dancing and daydreaming - some of which were featured on the likes of Ninja Tune’s seminal Solid Steel series and various outlets such as Ransom Note and Trax Magazine. 2020 saw him open a new chapter in his career with the debut release of his duo MOISK alongside fellow Vilnius-based talent Pletnev / Ponty Mython, issued via Amsterdam-via-Brazil based imprint Frente Bolivarista / I lost my poncho in Istanbul. This maiden release was followed by Melancholic Raver EP in October 2021, and a third slab is on the way - due out August 2022 on Berlin’s Warning Records.
