After signing its first vinyl and digital release last May, Weird Planet returns with a digital fundraiser compilation project, just to start the year off right.

Through this VA bringing together no less than 16 artists, the Lyon-based booking agency - and young label - defends a vision that reflects its roster : eclectic, hybrid and far from the pre-established standards. An exploration of the dancefloor in its most uninhibited forms, crossing acid-techno, psychedelic trance, groovy tribe and other unidentified sound objects.

In addition to the strictly musical aspect, it is also and above all the opportunity to contribute to a cause that goes beyond the borders of our scene, since all income generated by the digital sale of this compilation will be donated to the refugee aid association Act For Ref, which provides accommodation solutions, food, administrative or material support and French lessons.

In the acid techno scene their name is already huge, but after a visit to Ozora and ZNA they decided to make a psychedelic project as well. Be a bit open minded because its the perfect mashup between goa-trance, acid, acid-trance and even a small pinch of modern psy-trance in between! What made their performance even more impressive was the the fact the set was played from analog live machines! :) For sure you will hear more within our scene of these 2 talents in the future! :)

Damit die Fusion 2019 gerade in diesem Moment stattfinden kann,  musste der Kulturkosmos und auch wir alle ganz schön kämpfen. Doch für „Die Freiheit der Kunst“ lohnt es sich einmal mehr aufzustehen und seine Stimme zu erheben … denn wir wollen uns unsere Kunst und Utopien nicht wegnehmen lassen.

Den Termin für diesen Podcast haben wir schon länger ausgemacht und er ist ganz zufällig auf den Fusion Termin gefallen. Als Frida und Judith mir dann den Mix geschickt haben, meinten sie „Da er zur Fusion raus kommt, haben wir uns ne kleine Sache überlegt und so eine Art "Fusion Special" gemacht (mit kleinen Pressekonferenz schnipseln am Anfang und Ende).“ Und weil die Fusion 2019 schon jetzt etwas ganz spezielles ist … wurde es auch hier ein Special. If you’ve been to O.Z.O.R.A. festival, you’ve probably heard Katamii playing: her sets are elemental parts of the Pumpui stage, meanwhile she’s one of the musical leaders and managers of the stage too.
Everything started with O.Z.O.R.A., where she revealed her soul-music in front of a major audience for the first time in 2011.

Since then she’s been the warm up for – among others – Eitan Reiter, Perfect Stranger, Minilogue, Beckers, Dominic Thomas, Gabriel Le Mar, D-nox&Beckers, James Monro, and she played before Cid Inc, who made a huge impact on her musical career.

She’s been invited to play at Samsara- and Bakony Festivals in Hungary, she played at Seli Mountain Gathering in Greece, Psy-Boutique Festival in Turkey and at Nosily Festival in UK.

She has a really impulsive style and you can always find that sneaky deep pulse in her music that sees through her sets – she’s a real wolf in sheep’s clothing.
