Pointfield & Doxa - Synthetic Synapses l Out Now on Maharetta Records

Nano Series continues with a talk with one of the 'Undercover Babas', Angus Young aka Mandala, who'll be telling us what he and his partner in this nature-inspired trance project, Ralph Braincell, are up to, what a lasagna has to do with it, full moons and sunsets, so that we Do Something Different as we're Upgrading Our Interface.

“The Undercover Babas” is an exciting new project by Mandala and Braincell. Two seasoned psychedelic trance producers both firmly in the Nano records family.
Ralph and Angus met at Angus’s retreat in Goa where they became firm friends and began to share sonic ideas and visions of a new sound. Both of them were also deeply inspired by nature and had been on missions worldwide to record various atmospheres and unusual creatures.
Having collaborated on several tracks that were released on Nano records, “Cellular Mandala“ in 2017 and “Undercover Baba“ which was featured on Mandala’s highly acclaimed album “Back To Your Nature” in 2018, they decided to take it a step further, and created the concept of “The Undercover Babas”  Music born of the idea of their lives being a subtle mission to spread positive, deep, psychedelic sonic messages without the need for big egos. The result is an authentic sound that blends both their recognisable styles of storytelling, creating something fresh and truly unique in this genre.
Blending driving bass-lines, subtle spiralling melodies, lots of natural recordings, vocal utterings and modular madness, their sound conjures epic cinematic sonic landscapes hinting at far off tribal lands with highly polished tales of the raw energy of the heart.
Fun fact… all of The Undercover Babas tracks have been written at the time of full moon!  This cosmic and sonic convergence has now spilled into cheeky, playful, fun-filled Eps on Nano Records along with even more releases planned and a full live set is now up and running.  The Undercover Babas are here to share joy and transcendence through music, so raise your hands up if you are looking for a good time, and they will lift you up and guide you through fresh dimensions !

In Focus this time with us is composer Martin Nonstatic, who's also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ultimae Records with his latest Treeline album release on the label. We'll be talking about some inspirations, creations, followed by some of his synthorganic soundscapes.

Home is the world of creating, performing and experimenting with sounds.
Martin Nonstatic was born in the Netherlands 1976 and moved to Germany close to Cologne at the age of 12. After a couple of years just listening to electronic music and playing his first keyboard, he got really addicted to his first synthesizer at the age of 18. Changing and manipulating sounds brought him to a point of no return. Always influenced by his environment, musicians and friends, and a great sense of curiosity his tastes naturally spiralled in on the limitless space of ambient, electronica and different styles of techno music.
He focused his work on live performances for quite a long time by using hardware synths, drum computers, mixers and effect units, playing the dance and chill out floors while keeping his neighbours in mind. In 2009, he decided to dedicate himself more to studio work after years of performing and producing tracks for himself and friends. His music has since received international support form different imprints such as Bine Music, Silent Season, Dewtone, Ultimae and Sub.spiele.
He moved to Austria end of 2014. Surrounded by beautiful and peaceful Landscapes Martin found deepness in new inspirations for upcoming projects.

In Focus this time is Zenon artist, Pspiralife, talking about Solo Solace and Afterlife, other uplifting news and an hour-long set to top it all.

Pspiralife has always been involved in music from a young age mainly focussing on the drum kit. He began with Country & Western, moved through Rock & Metal and then went on to study Latin, Jazz and Funk around 2003 and then found a deep passion in Psy Trance and electronic music production over the next few years.
An adventure that is appropriate for any time of the day or night, the Pspiralife experience is a fresh, fun and dynamic, omni-directional journey through a fusion of the full spectrum of various Psy Trance sub-genres whilst subtly incorporating elements of Techno, EDM, Classical, Jazz and Cinematic film.
Pspiralife has played at festivals in Europe, Brazil, Israel, USA, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Mauritius and several states of Australia along side Sensient, Talpa, Zyce, Ace Ventura, Captain Hook, Tetrameth, Grouch, Hedflux, Ryanosaurus, Vini Vici, Headroom, Neelix, Shadow Fx, Tom Cosm, and many more. In 2011 his Debut Album on Zenon Records put is home Tasmania on the global Psytrance map. Upon gaining a strong following over the next 7 years Pspiralife has performed on the main stage of both Boom Festival and three editions of Universo Paralello.

In Focus is French producer KALKI who debuted on radiOzora in our last radiOzora Connecting Homes show and now we can find out a bit more about the young artist, followed by his set after the talk.

KALKI is an experienced Music Producer from France, crafting subtle electronic music for over a decade.
KALKI emerged on the trance scene earlier in 2016, with his release of his 1st EP Varanasi, illustrated by a captivating music video shot in India by Basile Pierrat.
KALKI is part of the label Techsafari Records & releases many successful Ep’s which reaches the Beatport top 10 like his tracks Maya, Whales or Japan.
KALKI is playing in many famous gigs & festivals all over the world. He signed with Infinite Booking music for brazil and already shared the stage with artists like Ace Ventura, Protonica & more.
KALKI unfolds a narrative and spiritual universe combining sci-fi culture, primitive rites and psychic experiences that resonate, far beyond the musical genre, with the psytrance movement altogether.

DM- Theory is an exploration of innovative sounds, solid percussive rhythms and a hypnotic vibe culminating in a unique techno style with psy influences. In its short lifespan since the project started in 2018, DM- Theory collaborated with and remixed tracks by influential artists such as Saafi Brothers (Gabriel Le Mar), Tripswitch, MVMB, Gaudi and Youth. He is part of the Ibogatech rooster of artists with 4 EPs released for the label and working on an album already lined up for publication.
