Looney Moon Records' new series on radiOzora is kicking off with a special selection by label manager PHOBOS, paired with an audio-illustrated interview in The Ozorian Prophet.

LOONEY MOON – After promoting Trance parties in Italy for many years, the illustrious crew of Looney Moon eventually decided to spread the vibe of their events to an international audience. And which better way could have been chosen than doing this via music? So Looney Moon Records was founded in 2008, drawing on a collective of promising and varied artists from the very first day.

Concerning the music, the two label heads DJ Fog and DJ Phobos manage to realize a refreshing independent underground style. Based on a very sophisticated approach towards production quality, Looney Moon stands for highly energetic, kicking bass sounds and catchy synthesizer riffs, escalating to twisted sound structures and uplifting breaks and finally joining all the musical forces again in an intelligent, harmonic and melodic groove. This sound philosophy is currently represented on the new compilation “Looney Mood” that lives up to its name pretty much and therefore includes some seriously mad dance floor bangers.

PHOBOS – Since always into electronic music, in 1997 dj Phobos started listening to psy-trance, going to parties and festivals all around Europe. As a dj he has played in many parties and festival around the world together with lots of artists of international fame in the world of trance. From the point of view of his musical choice, he doesn’t like sticking to just one style of psy-trance, but he prefers to adapt his set to the hour, the people and the situation he finds himself in, taking always special care of the mixing. When playing during the night hours, he usually offers a Psychedelic Trance oriented style, with very psychedelic sounds which try not to degenerate into maddening noise or too dark influences; in the morning hour he will more likely choose to play more full-on underground stuff, trying to remain within the borders of psychedelics but with softer sounds, more suited for the light. Anyway he would rather play at dawn, according to him the most suitable moment of the day to enjoy his best sets. His djset is full of unreleased stuff .

He founded Looney Moon records with a group of friends in 2008, and he's still managing the label with dj Fog. Today Looney Moon Records is a very weel known music label with 5 killer compilations , 3 albums and lots of digital EP which bombed the dancefloors around the world.

Another label series, Antu Records Vol.1, is debuting on radiOzora, bringing some Brazilian energy to the wavelengths with Labirinto aka DJ Pedrao and much more to come.

Since his youth, Pedro developed a great love for everything related to the music movements, from where he has channelled his energies into evolving the psychedelic culture in his local scene. Part of the Universe Paralello Festival crew and original casting of Vagalume Records, he has evolved throughout the time and experiences to reach a prime point of the journey of his project. His music is cleverly composed with sophisticated deep basslines, hypnotic synths and overall playful vibes, developing his own unique style of high energy full on groove. Also part of The Big Bang Live together with Daniel Ital from Chile and 28 Live with Rene Shove from Mexico, he is a top draw international representative for the powerful Brazilian groove sounds, which he gratefully shared at amazing gatherings all around the world, such as: Universo Paralello (Brazil), Boom (Portugal), Full Moon (Germany), Poison (Mexico).

Antu Records presents LABIRINTO a.k.a. DJ Pedrao | 12/01/2016

We're "flowing together" in the next edition of Sangoma Records series featuring German DJ/producer DSOMPA and his liveset made especially for radiOzora.

Dsompa is the Tibetan meaning for “flowing together”, and is the project of Philipp based in Hamburg, Germany, a passionate Dj and producer. He discovered electronic music in the late 90′s, and was bewitched with the culture, art and the sound of the psychedelic subculture. Encouraged by friends of the Ruigoord Community in Amsterdam, he played his first DJ set in the squatted church turned dance-temple, of Ruigoord. He soon started to host his own events in Hamburg and joined Swiss psylabel Peak Records in 2009. Around the same time he started working on his own music and played for various festivals such as Lost Theory, Sonica, Antaris, Utopia (After Boom), Fullmoon Festival, Trimurti, Tangra, Yaga, Tundra, Solistice and other events on an international level. In 2014, he released his Shipibo – Conibo inspired debut EP “Shinan”, and became part of the Sangoma family.

DSOMPA | Sangoma Records Label Series Vol.5 | 1/01/2016

The second edition of On the Way to O.Z.O.R.A. 2016 stars a true pioneer of Russian night psytrance and radiOzora resident from the very beginning, FUNGUS FUNK who's with us to spread some spores and sounds that we can look forward to this summer in the Ozorian valley.

Fungus Funk aka Sergey Prilepa, the legendary Russian psytrance artist began writing psychedelic tunes right before the Millenium and started to release the first Fungus Funk tracks in 2001 on record labels like Acidance Records, Discovalley or Crystal Matrix and many others. His famous debut album called “F People” came out on Acidance in 2006 overflowing with groovy baselines, aggressive synths, warm melodies and those signature psychedelic atmospheres you can still experience on every Fungus Funk release ever since, be it an own composition or a remix made for a fellow musician. The second full-length Fungus Funk album found his home at half Russian, half Australian label Blitz Music, where Sergey released his third and last album to date as well in 2010 called “Electric Grooves”.

The original Fungus Funk sound always keeps a masterful balance of complex textures and arrangements that lead the listener through a deep and interesting journey of that hazy period of time between the psychedelic night and morning. These days Fungus Funk is busy working on the material of his forthcoming new studio album and interesting side-projects such as releasing under the name Astroff or collaborating with fellow psytrance musicians like Para Halu, Obliviant, Drip Drop, Virtual Light and more.

Vertical is Joonas Lehtinen, born and bred in Finland. He has always been in to electronic music and around 1997 he started to experiment with compositions of his own.

His first contact with Goa trance was in 1996, but he started to get more interested in to psytrance around the year 2001 through various Finnish and international projects. 2002 he attended to his first psy party which was definitely the kick start for him to make this kind of music.

He gets his inspiration from parties and everyday life, nature, space and what not.
The music is a mixture of funny and serious, mind and dancefloor friendly psytrance. In his tracks he has got his own individual vibe which makes him stand out.

The next episode of Berlin-based IONO Music‘s series will be brought to you by ONE FUNCTION.

Music has One Function , To make you feel. From the second the sound waves hit your body and soul it touches your nerves and transforms your senses. Where and how will that feeling take you in the sonic journey depends on your mood, personality and your surroundings. But it is that first contact point, that magical moment when you get hooked that set the rest of the tune.
This One Function, the first contact point will be facilitated by Jenia Akerman from Israel. Akerman started his musical experimentation since he was 16 years old, playing in outdoor parties and quickly having the itch to make his own music. Influenced by inspirational artists such as The Delta, Cosma and Hallucinogen, Akerman decided to take his craft seriously and at the age of 19 went to BPM music School. Polishing his ideas and artistic identity, he released his first release in 2009 called Tropical Energy on Spliff Music. Exploring his abilities even further, in 2011 Jenia started his first solo project Unicode, a melodic and uplifting Progressive Trance fusion. As Unicode, Akerman released his tunes in all the big labels such as Iboga, Blue Tunes, Spin Twist and Iono Music.

As Jenia’s project developed he decided to go back to his roots with Progressive Trance under the alias One Function. In this project Akerman decided to focus more on spirituality, while combining oriental vocals and old school elements, which create his own unique psychedelic interpretation. His first release as One Function – Back to My Roots EP – was released in 2015 on Iono Music and received immediate attention across the world. Supported by the biggest names in the Psytrance scene, from Protonica , John 00 Fleming , Egorythemia, Yahel and Guadium he is conquering the global sonic sphere. After playing in many indoor and outdoor events including: Australia, Swiss, Germany, Israel, France, Argentina, his path to your One Function is set.

The 2nd of my two sets this year at Rainbow Serpent Festival was on the CHILL STAGE, a mesmerizing sanctuary where you can relax, or get down for a calming stomp. Beautiful people everywhere coming together to connect, allowing me to play some of my most prized music.

I was so happy to be able to play this for the special 20th Anniversary. Paying respect to the many wonderful times I have had at Rainbow Serpent over the years.

Brazilian born Yesca had his first musical introduction in childhood at the tender age of just five years playing percussion instruments. By the age of thirteen he was already playing guitar MPB (Brazilian Popular Music also know as Brazilian Jazz) and by nineteen has started playing numerous different instruments in rock bands. This childhood musical background allowed Yesca to develop a great taste of the various musical styles and in 2006 he got into the electronic music world in all of its fascinating variations. He has since became one of the most respected progressive trance DJ’s on the underground scene of São Paulo and in 2008 became a partner of the Festival Mundo de Oz, in charge of line up selection and general event management . In 2011 he spent a year in Europe travelling and developing new influences and techniques to improve his production and mixing.
These days Yesca sets flow through various influences from the classic psychedelic progressive through to more underground full on groove catches and aggressive solid bass; creating a contagious exciting atmosphere whenever he plays.
Yesca has also been actively involved in the preparation of the lineup for one of the biggest festivals in Brazil, Soulvision Festival for some editions with bocara and now with gaia connection

Neutrino is Dino Ciancamerla. Based in London but originating from Cape Town, South Africa.
His Music career has spanned over 15 years. Starting with Hard House and Trance and eventually finding is calling with Progressive Psytrance.
His passion to share his love for this particular high quality sound, see’s him playing in all area’s of the Trance scene, from underground warehouse events to the main room at Ministry of Sound, International festivals and everything in-between.
His DJ Sets around London are increasing popular and bring a much needed fresh sound to the current Trance scene.
In late 2017 Neutrino started to commit more and more of his time to producing in the studio and released his debut EP “Sound | Colour | Tempo” on January 29th, 2018 which hit No.1 no the Beatport Psytrance Release Chart.
His debut single “The Dream” was released on the US record label Dreamstate Records and charted in the Top 15 on the Beatport 100 Psytrance Chart.
His next No.1 Charting was with his remix of Phaxe – Unforgotten released on the legendary Iboga Records on 29.12.18.

Coming your way is Nicola ZYCE’s album presentation mix for his recently released album, Time.

ZYCE is the name of the psy-progressive solo project from Nikola Kozic, who has become one of the most talented electronic music producers from Serbia. Music has always played a big part of his life, as from a young age he performed as a guitarist in several Rock and Reggae bands, until he found a big interest and passionate attraction to electronic dance music, and so the ZYCE project was officially born.
His debut album “Hyper Cube” was released in 2008 on Synergetic records, and with the successful launch of the album he was instantly approached by several labels where very soon he started releasing several tracks on various major psy-progressive labels such as Spin Twist, Iboga, Iono Music, Blue Tunes and more. This was soon followed by his second album “Transgressive” that was released on Spin Twist Records around early 2010, gaining him instant global recognition and securing him performances at some of the biggest festivals at Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Israel, Germany, France…
At the end of the 2010, Nikola decided to establish the “TesseracTstudio” label, which very soon became known for their consistency as a label that quickly gained them the deserved recognition, and importantly became a vital platform for several emerging Serbian artists and friends.
It was also decided that his third album “8 Cell” was to be a full collaboration with the friend and well known Serbian project ‘Flegma’. 8 Cell was released on the TesseracTstudio label during 2011, and proudly reached the no 1 spot on the Psyshop charts. With much anticipation from fans to release a full solo album, Nikola decided that on the 21 December 2012 date to launch his fourth studio album ‘Alignment’, which he did and the ZYCE project gained massive momentum and even bigger global support than initially anticipated, catapulting his career to one of the most sought after and highest booked names in the business today.
After three and half years of circumnavigating the globe, with regular performances at some of the most established events on the planet, it was time to announce the release of his fifth studio album, aptly titled ‘Fifth Dimension’ to be released during the fifth month of 2016, ‘Fifth Dimension’ is without doubt the best work we’ve seen from this highly talented and extremely passionate young artist, showcasing a vast array of maturity and his unbelievable skill to effortlessly transport you through the various sound landscapes that he presents the listener to with his 5th studio album ‘Fifth Dimension’.   Finally at the end of the 2018, the crown of Zyce work. His latest 6th studio album under name of “TIME”, which delivers a very positive and intelligent message and marks his 10 years long professional career in the Psy-Trance scene , which showed his work ethic and constant passion to the music, assuring fans that the best is yet to come…
