Cee Knowledge and El Carnicero link up for the Grey Granite assisted track "Eat Up" out now on Rad Summer!

Cee Knowledge collaborates with the Slit Jockey head honcho El Carnicero on their new song "Eat Up" featuring Grey Granite.  Departing from the Butcher's classic grime sound, "Eat Up" leads off with a deep string-based melody for the legendary emcee (fka Doodlebug of Digable Planets) to ride.  Grey Granite contributes a strong verse and an infectious hook that is nearly impossible not to rap along to the beat.  "Eat Up" is also paired with three stellar remixes from El Carn's Slit Jockey partner Dev79, Seattle's Spekulation, and Indianapolis resident Anita Vokill. Following Mojo Goro’s “The Thirst” EP on Slit Jockey Records last year we’ve got another slice of dark and mysterious vibes from the rising artist. Eerie and spacious grime sounds permeate the original songs on White Dove, and while there are clear influences here it is also a very exploratory and unique sound that he is developing. 

Bulgaria’s Mojo Goro has recently relocated to Germany & we’ll be celebrating White Dove with a release party in Berlin on March 25th. Mojo has a handful of EPs under his belt on imprints such as Classical Trax, WTF Is Swag, and Myth-O-Lodge, as well as receiving coverage on Get Some UK, The Dankles, Future Classics, Rinse FM, EDM Network, Radar Radio, Booms & Claps and others. 

Each remixer here took a distinct stance. Bios is a Germany based producer better known as the label head of the popular Saturate! Records and he recently released his artist debut on Slit Jockey.  NY’s Copout has been bringing his hypnotic riddims to labels such as Liminal Sounds, Freshmore, Paradisiaca, and WDIS. Dev79 & El Carnicero amp up the vibe with their remix packed full of chopped breaks and pounding energy.

Slit Jockey Records has been painting a passionate and articulate view of grime and grime influenced bass music since 2005. The label is operated by Starkey, Dev79 and El Carnicero. Released artists such as Conrank, J Beatz, Mr. Mitch, MIK, Doshy, Trim,

RAD SUMMER began back in 2007 as a six week summer tour for djs/producers Curtis Vodka and Flufftronix. Upon a successful completion, operations expanded into a full-blown promotion and booking company ran by Flufftronix and Action Jackson in Bloomington, IN.

Now based in Philly and Indianapolis, RAD SUMMER has become an established name in the Midwest and East-Coast; partnering with brands such as Scion, Mad Decent, Colt 45, PBR, IHEARTCOMIX, Dope Couture, Mishka etc… and booking acts such as Rusko, Benga, Flosstradamus (as performers we’ve also partnered in events for such artists as Soulja Boy, The MisShapes, DJ AM, Steve Aoki, and Girl Talk). In 2011 they expanded to a full fledged record label, with forthcoming releases from Flufftronix, Figure, Lemi Vice, Oreo Jones, RX & Shiftee, and Dave Owen.
