Sierra Leonean artist and producer Lamin Fofana – who released an excellent album on Shifted’s Avian label late last year – turns in a softly energising mix for our Sunday series.

Bookended by tracks from Sweden's Andreas Tilliander under his Mokira alias and experimental duo Autechre, and featuring artists such as Miles Davis, Alto Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto, the hour-long mix is filled with buzzing synths, fluttering piano and glitchy ambient that comforts and intrigues.

In the middle of a weekend with almost non-stop heavy rain, Perplexed Continuum’s live on Saturday afternoon was a rare moment where music and the environment synced and became one, with literal mist descending and providing the perfect backdrop for his hypnotic, swirling grooves, recharging the muddy dancefloor with a mystical, earthly energy.

”In The House Of The Hanged They Only Speak Of The Rope” is a compilation by Florian Kupfer of tracks recorded in Berlin during 2017. This curious tape is compiled in collaboration with the Oslo based cassette label HMD records, and marks the label’s 12th release. Kupfer manages to blend melodies with percussion in a unique style that has resulted in a bunch of modern classics for labels like L.I.E.S, Russian Torrents, Rush Hour and Willie Burns W.T Records ++. HMD12 is a record that demands your attention. Taking you on a journey to weird and exotic places, leaving you with gained knowledge and secret wisdom after each and every track.
