SIDIOUS play a dark, epic, and chaotic style of blackened death metal. Drawing influences from bands in both the black and death metal genres, the band has created a unique take on the fusion of these two extreme metal styles.

 Formed in late 2012, the band began writing in preparation for the recording of their debut EP. In May 2013, "Ascension to the Throne Ov Self" was released via Kaotoxin Records; an independant label based in France that had shown great intrigue and support in the band since it's earliest days. "Ascension..." was recorded at The Parlour Recording Studios in Kettering, UK, and produced by Russ Russell (Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death, Evile..)

 After some alterations in the line-up since the band's conception, but still featuring the core songwriters, SIDIOUS started writing music for their first full-length release. (Again, to be recorded at The Parlour Recording Studios with Russ Russell). The band entered the studio for a total of 11 days, spread across 2 sessions, and brought their new ideas to life. "Revealed In Profane Splendour" was released in November 2014 via Kaotoxin Records.

 The band has already received high praise for their releases by several printed publications, including Terrorizer and Zero Tolerance Magazine, despite their comparatively short lifespan to other commonly featured acts. There's also been a wealth of encouraging reviews written by many online zines, including well-known and popular sources for underground metal news such as MetalSucks.net and Metal Injection.

 SIDIOUS has shared the stage with some well-established bands, such as; Anaal Nathrakh, Eastern Front, Benighted, Leng Tch'e, Evil Scarecrow, Eastern Front, God Seed, Shining, & Endstille.

Having landed a slot at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2015, playing on the Sophie Lancaster stage, and working on their first full length album due 2017, Silas are a rising four piece from the UK. Rooted in rock and metal, their sound is a fusion of genres; you will hear infectious hard rock grooves and punishing metal carnage suddenly explode into funk or ﬂow into a jazz progression and an other-worldly guitar solo. As well as citing inspiration from bands such as Pantera, Gojira, Kamchatka and the works of Devin Townsend, they draw strong inﬂuence from all the music they hear - whether it be blues, jazz, soul or classical.

Live, Silas are not to be missed; twin brothers Tom and Mike Ross switch roles between drums and guitar, sharing a unique chemistry with the rhythm section’s thundering back bone, bassist Matt Drumm. Combined with front man Dave Runham’s highly diverse vocal style and honest, fun-loving charisma, every show is bursting at the seams with high energy and positive vibes.
