Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

'Iyewaye', Oliver Koletzki’s first release after the autobiographical I AM OK album, introduced a new facet of the artist’s sound. The EP catered to a darker and more raw aesthetic, a direction followed and deepened by the four remixes. First up is the title track 'Iyewaye', turned into a lengthy tech infused introspection by Hatzler. Loosely centered around the initial vocals, Loco & Jam’s makeover explores the track’s captivating snappy narrative. The more rhythm focused 'Ipuza' gets a special treatment from Hidden Empire who dial up the aggression of the percussion. Zakari & Blange downplay the track’s initial exotic elements, focusing on the rattling synths and giving it a late-night dancefloor rework.

Teacher (Electronic Music Production - University Anhembi Morumbi / Sao Paulo/BR), music producer Rafael Paste Live, Electric Plectrum Live project, and URSO da noite Live project, DJ, artistic director, presenter, entrepreneur, creative and dedicated to electronic music like few others, one of the statistics when they fail in national music production.

Commonly known as "paste", as it is called in the interior, it presents two unique and different LIVES, Electric Plectrum (trip-hop / rap / dub) and the one that bears his own name, Rafael Paste (techno / house), who has already passed through  main clubs, parties and festivals in Brazil, from Universo Paralello Festival (BA) to D.DEDGE (SP), from Fosfobox (RJ) to Pulsar Festival (MG), from Jacundá Festival (AM) to TAJ (PR).

He signs the residency and artistic / marketing direction of the giant SUB Paradise, as well as presenter and curator of the show ELM (Electronic Live Music) at showlivre.com (a vehicle that promotes live music on the web since 2000 and musical content on  Portal R1 and Terra).  It has more than 110 releases, re-releases and remixes coming from several national and international labels such as 303lovers, Hotfingers, Cream Couture, Avocado Dreams, Mile End, UP Club, Inminimax, Moejar, Tropical Beats, Sick Society, etc ...
