After his successful teaming up with Pyramid for their Kitsuné EP and his beautiful collaboration with Darius on 'Alicia', Crayon is releasing his very own debut EP on Yuksek new label, Partyfine.  Crayon tried reuniting most of his influences within 3 original tracks.

"You'll find yourself drifting away in space wearing Joey Buttafuoco pants, you are confused because you think your time machine brought you back to some high class garden party in Miami but somehow you're breakdancing in Compton."

Space funk, R&B, and obviously a touch of modernity, embracing the only two decades Crayon   have lived through to make a record for the nostalgic just as much as it is for the ones seeking the "sound of tomorrow".

Narked Records is proud to announce the release of the smoking hot mix of the Kenny Wesley classic, “The Window” by legendary producer Matthew Shell (MTS).

The single marks Wesley’s debut with the label, and a matter of great pride for founder and CEO, Arun Shenoy, a fan of Wesley’s work over the years.

Noah Lifschey, the writer of the song has remarked that the track originally started out as a custom song he did for the TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance?”. He subsequently presented it to Kenny Wesley when they first started working together. Marked by only a a single verse and chorus at that point, Wesley helped Noah finish the song.

The original lyrical inspiration for Lifschey was the observation that very often life happens right outside your window when you’re often too stuck in your mind and life’s tribulations to even notice. To which Noah adds that “The Window” to him can represent so many different things and project a very powerful image. One such perceptive was that of representing truth: being open to embracing all that comes or happens in one’s life.

A neo-soul meets Seal meets Cee Lo Green kind of musical vibe, combined with Wesley’s soulful vocal performance helped bring the song together to create what is now widely regarded as a Kenny Wesley classic. And now, taking it to a whole new level, the magic touch of producer Matthew Shell (MTS).
