un viaggio musicale e fisico, partendo da - e tornando a - Palermo, sul tema castello Misilcassim - Poggiodiana di Ribera, e località limitrofe.
Il brano ispirato al castello, appunto Misilqa, rappresenta un mix di influenze etniche dalle quali fu dominata la Sicilia nel corso dei millenni: Normanni, Greci, Romani, Spagnoli, Turchi e Arabi.
Ogni popolo trova spazio in questa mia composizione, che creai nel 1996, proprio a Ribera, alla tenera età di 18 anni, nel pieno del mio studio da autodidatta, che mi teneva impegnato fino a 12 ore al giorno. Studio che culminò nella cassetta "Shuree Shuree", che conteneva appunto il brano.

Dopo quasi 27 anni, stimolato e spinto dal Maestro Lillo Zito, decisi di registrare ex novo l'opera, che egli, adesso definisce "un mosaico eccellente, un capolavoro". Molti intenditori tralaltro apprezzano Misilqa.
Come allora, arrangiai e registrai tutti gli strumenti:
Mandolino, Bouzouki, Chitarre (classica e archtop), scacciapensieri, basso, tamburello, e eDrums.

eine musikalische und physische Reise, die von Palermo aus beginnt und nach Palermo zurückkehrt, zum Thema der Burg Misilcassim - Poggiodiana di Ribera und der Nachbarstädte.
Das von der Burg inspirierte Lied Misilqa repräsentiert eine Mischung ethnischer Einflüsse, von denen Sizilien im Laufe der Jahrtausende beherrscht wurde: Normannen, Griechen, Römer, Spanier, Türken und Araber.
Jedes Volk findet Raum in dieser meiner Komposition, die ich 1996 im zarten Alter von 18 Jahren in Ribera schuf, angetan von meinem Selbststudium, das mich bis zu 12 Stunden am Tag beschäftigte.
Dies gipfelte in der Kassette "Shuree Shuree", die den Song enthielt.
Nach fast 27 Jahren, angeregt von Maestro Lillo Zito, der viele nützliche Tipps immer parat hat, beschloss ich, das Werk von Grund auf neu aufzunehmen, das er heute als
"ein ausgezeichnetes Mosaik, ein Meisterwerk" bezeichnet.
Viele Kenner schätzen Misilqa.
Wie damals habe ich alle Instrumente arrangiert und aufgenommen:
Mandoline, Bouzouki, Gitarren (klassisch und Archtop), Maultrommel, Bass, Tamburin und eDrums.

The song inspired by the castle, Misilqa, represents a mix of ethnic influences from which Sicily was dominated over the millennia: Normans, Greeks, Romans, Spaniards, Turks and Arabs.
Every people finds space in this composition of mine, which I created in 1996, right in Ribera, at the tender age of 18, while my self-taught study, which kept me busy up to 12 hours a day.
This culminated in the cassette "Shuree Shuree", which contained the song.
After almost 27 years, stimulated and pushed by Maestro Lillo Zito, I decided to record the work from scratch, which he now defines as "an excellent mosaic, a masterpiece". Many connoisseurs appreciate Misilqa.
As then, I arranged and recorded all the instruments:
Mandolin, Bouzouki, Guitars (classical and archtop), jaw harp, bass, tambourine, and eDrums.
