I remember hearing this first time from sasha mix cd. Freakin amazing :)

This song along with the rest of the Deep Progress mix has always been one of the biggest influences to me regarding music, house music, mixing records, grooving, etc. Thank you so much for this!!!

Basically this should be played at every gay lounge out there.

Diamond Runway

Jimmy Van M has been an integral part of Bedrock's history with many releases from the labels inception. Most recently he and Oliver Lieb teamed up to bring us their Collaborations album release in 2012 as well as his "We Are Children" track which featured on John Digweed's Structures Two CD in 2011.

Now in 2013, Jimmy Van M is back on Bedrock and this time he has teamed up with Spanish producer AFFKT and Argentinean Producer/Singer Luxor T. Jimmy Van M and Luxor T have been working for more than a year now together and currently working an album project.  Luxor T a trained musician and Jimmy´s production experience on the dancefloor is hitting the right combination for freshly unique tracks each time. AFFKT heard one of Jimmy´s new tracks feat Luxor T - Like U and liked the vocal.  When talking they agreed to try an original together with Luxor T vocals which is how Dreams came into play and rest fell into place easy with great vibes.   Working together on this project AFFKT and Jimmy Van M feed off the creativity and positive enthusiasm to make quality music, you can hear they are into it and having fun. 

The result is Dreams which is a bass driven track that builds and builds with swung percussion creating a relentless groove with Luxor T's vocal layered perfectly over it all with an almost hypnotic effect. For those who prefer the dub vibe there is stripped back version of Dreams without the vocal which features extended pads and toughened up percussion. The final piece is Lucid which is a much more heads down affair for a darker and trippier ride than Dreams which will be perfect for tougher and techier sets. All in all a quality package that should have something for everyone and as we have witnessed John Digweed successfully road testing all of them over the past few months we know they rock on the dancefloor. Futureboogie Recordings is calling time after ten years with a 20-track compilation that sums up the sound of the lovingly curated Bristol label. From throbbing arps and noirish guitar twangs to errant analogue blips and ceaseless, rolling grooves, it’s a different sound to what you might have heard five years back on the Summer Riot IV compilation, and certainly a long way from the early days. Consider Futureboogie 10² an ode to evolution as much as a toast to all the great tracks and the family of artists that have passed through the wide-reaching Futureboogie sphere since before the label was even a sparkle in the disco ball.
 
Originally founded by Dave Harvey and Steve Nickolls, the roots of Futureboogie lie in an intimate Bristol party called Seen. Started in 2002, this open-hearted session invited the likes of Metro Area, Attica Blues, Carl Craig, Maurice Fulton, Moodymann and Gilles Peterson – based on that heavyweight list, you can see the foundations were laid for what was to come. Futureboogie evolved off the back of these parties as a many-limbed operation – an artist management and booking agency as much as a club night, with Harvey and Nickolls consolidating the sound as DJs around Bristol and beyond. The progression to a record label was a logical one.
 
When Futureboogie Recordings launched in 2011 with Julio Bashmore and Javeon McCarthy’s ‘Father Father’, it represented an extended circle of friends close to the label from Bristol’s deep pool of talent and beyond – amongst them Eats Everything, Waifs & Strays, PBR Streetgang, Behling & Simpson and Crazy P. The reach of the label grew in tandem with its reputation, not to mention the endeavours of the team in other areas of the music game. The Boogiefuturo label became a vital entity on its own terms, carrying a lauded DJ Nature remix of Typesun which encapsulates two distinct generations of Bristolian house music at its best. DJ Nature, who cut his teeth as DJ Milo in the Wild Bunch days, has gone on to become a regular feature on Futureboogie, helping define its soulful, adventurous spirit.
