How good you think you are cannot save you in the end. it is inconsistent if God's standard is perfection because if one sin grants you death, you cannot undo it, then doing 2 good deeds won't balance it out truly. 

Truly I tell you it is ONLY faith in Jesus Christ as savior and Son of Gon that will save you, in this world and the world to come. 

you can not be a doctor that saves 100 patients' lives but purposely murders three for fun. This is the state of Justice. 

You know you are not perfect, You know I am not perfect, God knows this too. This is why he became human, worked(carpentry, building foundations), suffered shame, was tortured, bore the entire weight of all mankinds sins, and died the most shameful public Roman crucifixion although he did nothing wrong. This was to pay the price of sin, which is death. This is because God loves us and wants to dwell with us that he would suffer death so that we may not if we simply and truly believe in Jesus Christ. 

it is not how often you go to church. If you like the Pope's facebook page. It isn't how many sacraments you take. How many prayers you make. Or how kind and patient you are. 

It is, "Do you believe that God would take on our human suffering, be tempted as we are, die unjustly, and rise again on the third day to justify us who believe in Him by His own righteousness and not our failing "goodness" just so he can restore us, save us, forgive us, and give us life without Injustice and pain, even without sweating and soreness?"

Once you truly believe in Christ Jesus and draw near to Him, you will change from the inside out. Your desires will change, you will be restored.
