The Alma project was born from a very strong personal experience that led Odeeno to get closer to his inner self and to know his own soul.
Although it is in line with the already wide discography of Odeeno, Alma is a different EP, it represents the beginning of a new phase. Alma is a mature and conscious work, full of new inspirations and new languages. The struggle against personal ghosts is transferred to its decisive place, at the center of the body: the soul. She is the friend to listen to, to talk to in order to recognize life's mistakes and transform them into a richer and more defined experience, just like the beats of this work. The atmospheres of dark colors dissolve, the groove becomes more fluid, the times faster. Beyond darkness and gloom, for Odeeno there is now light. In this sense Alma is his most committed album, but also challenging, from an artistic and emotional point of view. Alma is growth and evolution, in other words a new beginning.

"Meltin' Brain Loops" is a dope collection of beats composed in the scorching late May and early June of 2022. These 23 tracks are the result of a couple of weeks of studio time that Biga dedicated specifically to the rhythms. As the producer directly explains, "using exclusively an MPC, I developed the tracks starting right from the drums. I wanted the drums and bass to have a certain kind of groove, only inserting the samples later, just for the joy of studying and for the fun of twisting my workflow out of the comfort zone."
While Biga's beats are hosted on side A, side B includes 10 creamy remixes packaged by JayBee Vibes, Astratto, Odeeno, J. Raise, Jr, HZHA, Looppolo, MstkVibes & Loodo, F.o.x, Pentola, Masneo.

Info: BlackFilter is the brainchild of Pellegrino Mazzucchi, a percussionist, DJ, and producer hailing from Modena and born to an Italian father and an Indo-Mozambican mother. "Batuki" is the honest expression of Pellegrino’s sound, blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms with electronic music, combining percussion and acoustic instruments with analog drum machines and synthesizers, resulting in an afro-electro-disco refreshing sonic experience. "Batuki" will be released on Ragoo Records in late April.

“Bembe” (Bembé) comes from the Yoruba people of West Africa. Depending on the context, the term can refer to a kind of drum, an ethnic subgroup, a religious ceremony, a style of dance, or a genre of music. It is also the name of the track we were solicited to premiere from BlackFilter’s forthcoming digital/vinyl release on the delicious Italian label Ragoo Records. Pellegrino Mazzucchi, the mastermind behind the alias, is a percussionist, DJ, and producer based in Modena, Italy, and owner of a singular sonority that encompasses Latin, Afro, and World Music influences. 

The result of the fruitful partnership between Pellegrino and his fellow countryman Daddario gave birth to the stunning “Bembe”, a two-in-one theme that introduces itself complex percussive elements and mellow synth leads for 2.10 of its 4.41 minutes until the “futuristic Jazz with hints of Electro and Disco” aura jumps in and changes the game entirely, “offering the listener a sonic and refreshing sound experience”.

New tape from Italian beatmaking wizards, Biga & Odeeno. The influences and energies that shape these two artists are different but at the same time unique. This split tape takes its name precisely from this duplicity/unity. While the musical influences are the same and the sound univocal, the identities of the two artists remain distinct. Biga with his floating sound and Odeeno with that melancholic signature touch are particularly inspired in this tape, which is intended as a tribute to RnB.
