Roundabout Sounds (founded in May 2010) is my new venture. I look forward to bringing you more tracks from myself as well as originals and remixes from other artists around the globe.

Joe (Babylon) Marougi started off as mobile DJ since 1986 doing house parties in Los Angeles, CA. After gravitating more heavily towards house/techno music, he took a leap of faith along with his good friend and DJ partner Allen Avanessian in 1994 when they bought some recording gear and started Plug Research (record label) up at the loft at Allen’s house. Soon after launching the label, they both became more involved with the underground scene in LA by putting together warehouse parties and other events while hiring Detroit artists such as Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Carl Craig, Underground Resistance, Claude Young, Rob Hood and Kenny Larkin to perform as an attempt to bring more awareness of techno’s roots to southern California. Venues for such events ranged from empty warehouses to county fairgrounds and everything in between including the Shrine Auditorium.

Joe handed Plug Research over to Allen in 1998 shortly after getting married and moving to northern california (San Jose). Allen picked up the ball and ran with it “big time” by making Plug Research one of the most respected independent record labels in the electronic scene. Meanwhile, Joe never stopped shopping for records and continued sharpening his music skills. As a result, he has recently put together a promising new label (Roundabout Sounds) with an attractive lineup of tracks and remixers such as Rick Wade, Mike Huckaby, Rick Wilhite, Theo Parrish, Aaron-Carl, Orlando Voorn, John Tejada and XDB just to name a few.

FACES Records is an independent record label founded in 2002 by Dj & Producer Pablo Valentino (Creative Swing Alliance, Kid sW!Ng' & Hipster Wonkaz).
They release “quality” and not “quantity” records by such artists as Motor City Drum Ensemble, The Revenge, Simbad, Mono/Poly, RedNose Distrikt, Kez YM, Rondenion, Inkswel, Kira Neris, grooveman Spot, just to name a few…

In the true adventurous spirit of his Kenbun radio show, Faces Records & MCDE imprint, Pablo Valentino is all about good music period. May it be jazz/hip hop, boogie/disco, house/broken beats...but always trying to explode and explore the boundaries between all creating patterns past, present and future.

FACES Records also own its subdivision MCDE Recordings run by both Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble) & Pablo Valentino (Faces Records).

MCDE is focussing on house and techno sounds - sophisticated, emotional tracks which stand on their own and also have a certain longevity. The goal is to bring some emotions back to the dancefloor, cause whats a party without a feeling?

Born 1966, Tokyo Japan.
    In addition to well calculated muscial arrangements and delicate programming, Hiro has a reputation for creating "good sound". Hiro produces music related to visual media: commercials, videos, TV programs, computer games (Erika to Satoru no Yumebouken, Xexyz, Kame no Ongaeshi: Urashima Densetsu, King of Kings, NFL, Friday the 13th, Parallel World, Time Zone, Panic Restaurant, and more...), and so on. When asked whether he is a composer who creates various types of music at a high level of quality, or one who is in the pursuit of his own original sound, he answer that presently both qualities are precious to him.
    Outside of his work as a composer, he teaches at a music college, and writes books and writes for various types of publications, including music magazines, technical manuals for musical devices.

    In 1998, he established "AON-DO" a website where people could first listen to, and then purchase his internet music and sound effects for use on their web pages. For the future, his intends to continue producing and delivering his digital music to the world.

    In February 1999, He launched their website Gallery ALT with "kei akiyama" graphic airtist. It was a small start. However, with the their sights set on the world, they are creating experimental works of art based on an original perception.

    In 2008, Hiro formed an Art Collaboration Group with Ichiro Uehara great painter.
