I will always remember those moments at the Nomads festival when Red Greg would close down the Lumberjacks in Hell stage and time stood oddly still, the sunset behind the trees and a warm breeze driving through the crowd. After several hours of dancing, everybody on the dancefloor was familar with each other, the first five rows or so anyway. I remember Rahaan, Mendel, Dieuwer, Robbert, Sam and Bram of course, Kim, Chiara... and Ben! 
The thought ringing through my head, this is as good as it gets. No matter where else you chose to travel to, this is the perfect moment and nothing could make it better. 
All of these Nomads days and nights merge into each other, not least because we had Darren celebrate with us somewhere around 2-4 times. One year it was Sylvester's - Over & Over at ten to eleven, the second last song of the day, that captured on video, encapsuled every emotion that needed to be captured.
I am not able to recall all of the music from those sessions. I remember his legendary blends that have lead you into the next epic groover long before you even realized it's a new tune. Never missing a beat and forever leaving you with a smile and a "damn" on your lips. 
Where did that coming from and how much higher can we go?

Red Greg, take us back to those beautiful moments of freedom and joy.

Amsterdam's Mr Mendel has perfected the art of modernising the classics with his organic approach to mixing and editing. It was quite a switch from Hip-Hop to Soul, Disco and Afro music but we're sure as hell glad he made it. You can catch Mr Mendel spinning some sexy tunes at a number of Amsterdam's finest nights such as I Love Vinyl, Wicked Jazz Sounds and Doka, plus he also curates the Tropical mix for music discovery channel 22Tracks Amsterdam. Hailing from Chicago, the city which gave birth to House music Rahaan has been spinning house and disco since the 80’s when he started playing at house parties across the city.

In the 3 decades since Rahaan has become a Chicago legend, a DJ who is widely recognised for his exceptional skills behind the decks and his exquisite taste in music. Lately he has also been earning plaudits for his production skills with some truly outstanding releases.

Recently he has released on some key labels including Lumberjacks In Hell, Street Edits and Dopeness Galore. His tracks are steeped in dancefloor groove, music made by a DJ with the sole intention of moving that floor.

Rahaan is a producer who has clearly learned his trade via many hours behind the decks studying the flow of the dance-floor and the tracks which have the power to excite and enthral.

Starting off playing from cassette tapes with a group of friends under the moniker ‘Chuck Brothers’ he started to build an extensive house and disco collection in the 90’s after a move to Wisconsin. A return to Chicago in 1996 saw him start to build his stellar reputation as one of Chicago’s stand out house and disco DJs with residencies at ‘The Spot’ and one of Chicago’s best clubs ‘Buddha Lounge’. A reputation he would cement with gigs all over the globe in the proceeding years.
