Beyond Records is comprised of artists from Vancouver, Canada, who are of Korean ethnicity. Multiculturalism and the love for music have brought these artists together. Increasingly, K-pop has been gaining much attention in the US and Europe. Even though “idol groups” comprised of young boys and girls are primarily focused on visual contents, rather than audible ones, the only Hallyu contents that are exposed to the public are of this genre. Thus, other Korean music with true audible quality with immense potential has been silenced to the rest of world. Our objective is to promote classic and modern versions of hip-hop, to create a movement of English speaking MCs, producers, and other musicians of Korean ethnicity, and to export a new set of fresh Hallyu contents to the overseas market. Our mission illustrates a revolutionary change in the market in which the trend for music would no longer be based on manipulatively created images of celebrities, but of real talent and lyrically expressive meaningful messages.
