Fairy is proud to present their new album, "Vinterverv". 

Fairy is a melodic rock/metal band from Bergen, Norway formed in 2007 by guitarist and vocalist Therese Tofting and drummer Hanne Østhagen, who were later joined by Masha Vestrheim on lead guitar and Trine Pernille Klokkerud on bass. 

In 2010, Fairy released their first album "Private Universe", and it can be said that a lot has changed since then as the band is continually evolving and redefining themselves. In 2011, Gerard Dwyer joined the band on synth and in 2013, classical vocalist Doro Korsvold completed the Fairies' line up as it stands today. 

Slowly but surely, Fairy have developed a new and more compact form for expression in their music, evident in the new, second album "Vinterverv" (Winter Solstice) where most of the new songs have been written with lyrics in Norwegian. The riffs are heavier, the composition grander and more progressive. The lyrics walk the line between dreams and reality, life and death.  

There is a myth that says that elves may be seen dancing out on the misty fields and moors at dusk and dawn. The music they play has been described as the most beautiful music imaginable, as if it were a song that came from a higher realm, and that whoever could hear that music would feel an overwhelming desire to join the dance. But, beware! For it is also said that once you join the dance, you're bound for life...

The band invites you to join us as we lead you through a landscape of soulful lyrics, dark forests and mysterious melodies.
