Nous opérons également deux filiales: Bonsound Concerts, un promoteur d'événements présentant des artistes de Montréal et d'ailleurs; et Bonsound Promo, une agence qui fait la promotion de projets qui ne sont pas directement liés à Bonsound.

I grew up in Glebe, Sydney... the kind of neighbourhood where music shows up whether you’re looking for it or not. One night in high school, a bunch of mates brought vinyls to a party at my place. They took over the decks and wouldn’t let me near them. Being sidelined in my own living room lit a fuse. I wasn’t heartbroken... I was fired up. I hated feeling powerless, so I made a decision on the spot: I’d learn the craft myself, get better than anyone in that room, and never wait for permission again.

That moment pretty much forged GROJ. What started as stubborn determination turned into a life in electronic music... from bedroom experiments to releases on Afterlife, Fryhide, Traum, and performances at HI Ibiza, OFF Sonar, ADE, MUTEK, and more. I’ve carved out a lane that blends emotional chill-house, breathy indie-dance vocals, and melodic production shaped by years of live sets and storytelling. 

I’ve got French roots too... also grew up between the south of France and Grenoble before landing in Montreal as a young man, and now I’m based in Los Angeles, running this strange but perfect Artist-Scientist life. Lemon Bucket Orkestra is a guerilla-punk-balkan-folk-brass band massive like no other. Tracing their genesis back to the streets of Toronto, the original quartet of busking troubadours quickly amassed a battalion of like-minded musical souls and the full-blown, dozen plus strong Orkestra was born. The multi award winning ensemble has been heralded as a groundbreaking, genre-bending phenomenon by the Canadian and international media alike and over the past 8 years they have performed on streets and stages around the world, leaving a trail of new friends and dedicated fans in their wake.

 

Equal parts exhilarating precision and reckless abandon, LBO’s live shows are a truly immersive experience - ranging from the ecstatic to the cathartic, and they have exquisitely captured that energy on their new album If I Had The Strength. Released in November 2018, it includes guest appearances from famed soprano Measha Brueggergosman, Latino rapper Boogat, Choir! Choir! Choir! and more. Their new video for the song Freedom has also just been released. Directed by the band's own Michael Louis Johnson, it was shot following an all-night drive home from a gig. Without any sleep, the members donned their best suits and gowns, cracked open a bottle of tequila, and let the cameras roll. “We wanted to create something that presents more questions than it answers,” Johnson says. “A piece wherein the stakes are very high, but we don't know what's at stake."

 

The band is currently supporting their new releases with a 9 date Canadian tour, before heading south to New York City to premiere their two-time Dora award winning folk opera Counting Sheep in December. They will also be featured artists in the made for CBC TV movie Dreaming of a Jewish Christmas – a celebration of the most beloved Christmas songs set to air nationally on December 3rd. With a recent appearance on CBC Q, up coming tapings for The Strombo Show, and a March 2018 tour of New Zealand that includes performing at the WOMAD Festival there, it’s clear that LBO have no plans of slowing down. Expect to hear a lot more about them in the coming year, as the take their unique brand of music mayhem to audiences around the world.

Of Finnish descent, but born and raised in California, TIN MAN now has a home in Vienna, a town perfectly suited to his deep and moody productions. TIN MAN launched his Global A label project in 2005. The first two releases, 'Places' and 'Acid Acid', weighed in at three pieces of vinyl each, and showcased his two major musical passions: fragile deep electronica and acid house. TIN MAN has acclaimed releases on the Finnish record label Sähkö / Keys of Life, Cheap Records from Vienna, and continues with new releases on his own imprint, Global A . While TIN MAN's output is diverse in its references, certain underpinnings can be heard throughout. There is always a strong reference to Acid House music, as well as a strong reference to Ambient and Electronic Pop music from the past 30 years. TIN MAN's newer output features his voice and follows a "concept album" format. Thus, complete records are as important as individual songs. The songs tend to follow a simple structure with changes that grow slowly within motifs. Mood construction and story telling are both equally important. And with each new record, there are new historical references to tell different stories. TIN MAN also continues with his passion for Acid House by continuing to produce retro-acid tracks and playing live shows regularly. Voyage Funktastique is a radio show, a label, and a monthly night, dedicated to Modern/Boogie Funk. Based out of Montreal, Canada, Walla P & Dr.MaD founded Voyage Funktastique in 2013, and have since then, performed in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, and shared the stage with Kaytranada, Pomo, Onra, Peanut Butter Wolf & DâM-FunK. They also performed on Boiler Room, and festivals such as Lost Village, Igloofest, Piknic Electronik, Osheaga, M For Monteal, POP Montreal, and Montreal International Jazz Festival. 

The radio show, hosted by Walla P, airs on the 3rd Sunday of the month 6PM (EDT), and is presented by Prime Source. 

The monthly night is held at Le Belmont ; it is considered as one of the most busiest & best dance floor in the city.
