A lot has happened for The Dead Ships in the last couple of years. They became the most talked-about live show in L.A., picked up airplay on KROQ, were hand-picked by Goldenvoice to perform at Coachella 2016 and LA WEEKLY named them the city's best band. Their latest album, CITYCIDE, produced by Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning, tackled subjects like fascism coming back in fashion, fake news, the Soviet resurgence, suicide and the death of American cities, months and months before this orange asshole got nominated, let alone elected. The Dead Ships write good songs and play their balls off.

Mini Death was born on the banks of the Rio Grande in El Paso, TX. Drawing many influences from the desolate beauty of the desert, the strange allure of cheap drugs, and the jukeboxes of El Paso and Juarez dive bars, Mini Death packed and moved to the California coast with a thirst for water and pop tunes. Once there, more members were added, and a drum machine evolved into a drummer. Mini Death is complete and has found a temporary home in San Diego while staying true to the roots of El Chuco.

The Long Fall is singer-songwriter Amy Rieckelman’s folk/ pop vision of life, love, and the bittersweet.
Influenced by her love for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Roxette, The Long Fall’s self-titled EP will be released in early 2018. This five song collection was co-written and produced by composer Jason Hill (Mindhunter, Louis XIV) and engineered by Brent Puls (Cataline), Stefano Bonzi, Justin Sconza (co-writer & lead singer/ songwriter for Walter Meego), & Anthony Polcino (Beat Club) in studios across Los Angeles, The Long Fall is the first release for Rieckelman. TLF features instrumental and vocal performances by Hill, Puls, Sconza, Polcino, Billy Harvey, & Jon Pancoast.

 

TLF has performed around the U.S. in such venues as Schubas in Chicago, Minneapolis’ The Fine Line, and LA’s Lot 1 Cafe, The Satellite, El Cid,  & Desert Nights at The Standard Hollywood.
