Characterised by deep grooves, scattered percussion and a penchant for upbeat yet evocative House & Techno, Sami Capaldi has made a significant impact with her distinctive style and an ability to create immersive experiences, she has captivated audiences both as a DJ and a producer.

Born in Durban, South Africa, Sami’s musical journey began in a place brimming with vibrant rhythms and rich cultural traditions. Growing up, she was immersed in the diverse and captivating music that surrounded her. During her formative years, Capaldi's exploration of music extended beyond just listening. She eagerly picked up instruments like the guitar and drums, allowing her to unlock new avenues of creativity. These instruments became her tools for self-expression, enabling her to channel her emotions and ideas into captivating melodies and infectious rhythms. 

With a wealth of inspiration drawn from the vibrant music and culture of her upbringing, Capaldi embarked on a musical odyssey that would eventually lead her to Brighton, UK. 

During her time in Brighton, Sami not only established a strong following for herself, but also made a significant impact with her labels, Nightshift Records and DAZE. With both labels and her productions earning support from acclaimed artists like Danny Tenaglia, Sam Divine, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini, and numerous others. 

In addition to her releases on her own labels, she has also showcased her talent on labels such as Swerve Digital, Natura Viva, Digital Groove, Evolvement, KONNEQT. 

Not only a skilled producer, Capaldi has shared stages with renowned legends of electronic dance music, including Faithless, Dense & Pika, Basement Jaxx, Josh Butler, Max Chapman, Honey Dijon and Camelphat. These collaborations exemplify Sami’s multifaceted talent as a composer, producer, label owner, and DJ, hinting at the bright and promising future that lies ahead.

MC Cashback is the result of years of working in kitchens crossed with an avid fan of Hip Hop, Grime & UK Garage. Active since around 2002 he has supported bands such as Goldie Lookin' Chain, Plan B, Metronomy, Chas n Dave, Kila Kela, Example, Aesop Rock, B. Dolan and Srcoobius Pip. His music mainly focusses on the links between food and music in the form of musical cookbooks and concept albums about the life of a kitchen worker.

Just:Because was born in the UK and bred on the Maltese islands, she grew up on a staple diet of 80’s Funk and 90’s Hiphop. Which formed the musical basis of her influences in those early days. 

Her tastes progressed into Chicago and Tribal House after many weekend sneaking into clubs and festivals at the age of fifteen. Here is where she got to watch the likes of Green Velvet, Richie Hawtin and Todd Terry work their magic. 

She has played and organised events internationally, over her 18 year DJ career and has warmed up for some of the biggest names in the industry. 

Her style can be described as Tech House with heavy influences of Chicago and Detroit techno with tech infused groove. 

She’s currently based in Hanoi, Vietnam where she runs her event brand @shook.vn and can be found playing around clubs in the city.
